Big Machine:

Speak Now > reputation > Fearless > Red > 1989 > Debut

Republic:

evermore > folklore > Red TV > Midnights > Fearless TV >>>> Lover

i know I’m gonna ruffle some feathers with this but I don’t care :gaycat1:

Original Fearless was a lot more solid of an album for what it was as opposed to Red 2012. Red TV and its vault tracks far and away demolish both versions of Fearless though.

Let it be known that every single album besides Debut and Lover are 9/10s or higher though, and these rankings have FRACTIONAL differences in points in my mind.

Speak Now was always the stronger album than Red but y’all aren’t ready to hear that! It has high highs like Red (Last Kiss, Dear John, Enchanted all on par with State of Grace, All Too Well, Treacherous etc) but NOTHING as low as WANEGBT or Stay Stay Stay. It is consistent, Red 2012 can’t relate!

and I’m a Puta stan, sue me. I genuinely enjoy it most out of all her big machine albums and revisit it the most!

Speak Now being the best Big Machine record is the god's honest truth and should not be controversial. :clap3:

Speak Now is not better than RED or 1989.

Speak Now is superior to Red.

One has two grammys for the music, the other for visuals. lol

Can’t believe she wasted money on Max just for Love Story and You Belong With Me to effortlessly STOMP their work on Red. :lmao:

Speak Now is DEFINITELY better than 1989, 1989 doesn’t have ANY deep cuts that are as strong as Last Kiss, Dear John, or Enchanted. 1989 has stronger singles (Blank Space, Style, Wildest Dreams, and New Romantics are absolutely some of her best pop songs) but songs like Sparks Fly, Haunted, Back to December, and Long Live all stand just as tall up against them in melody and lyrics.

And as I said, Speak Now has the highs of Red but none of the lows. It is consistently GREAT all around.

I thought we all agreed that 1989 is absolutely iconic and career defining, but also outdone by most of Lord's other albums?

Hear hear!

It would be almost any other pop artist’s first or second best album

But for her it’s bottom tier. And not because it’s bad. But because her discography is just THAT GOOD.

And sorry but WTNY, Bad Blood, SIO, HYGTG, all bops or whatever but low quality in her all time discography. They weigh the album down. Lack of bridges on the album, impersonal and vague songwriting… lordt I could go on forever but I won’t!

If I remove the nostalgia goggles I think evermore is her best album but I can't take those goggles off so Speak Now will always be that girl for me. :fan:

b-b-but she can only do this in America, for white audiences :fish2: this can’t be right!!! No one is supposed to care about her music on a global scale in countries with non-white populations!!!

The Philippines tour date should have already been announced. Sorry but to a certain extent she OWES the success of the re-recordings to SEA countries and especially The Philippines so her not having yet dates for them doesn't feel right in my spirit.

And ATRL (especially mods for leaving opened the threads about swifties being white) will always have racist undertones against millions of POC swifties but whatever.:katie:

What is this?  1989 is incredibly timeless, evergreen melodies. SN with its monotonous sound can't compare.

Speak now was the best thing after fearless but then it lost its appeal cause she just made better and better than that, red is a similar album but superior in any sense, fearless is a worst album but has timeless classics. SN was saved by the enchanted virality, well deserved cause it's the only song in that album that still emerges and feels like different from her future catalog. It's like one of her early long narrative songwriting pieces but also extremely pop. Still feels kinda of unique.

I remember when swifties 10 years ago were obsessed by last kiss, that date references was always viral when it came, now seems like almost everyone forgot about it. She made the same song 50x times better so many times after that and almost every song in the album feels outdated in her catalog.

Of course it's good to come back for nostalgia effect to more "unripe" works in the past but as I said the problem the album is there between fearless and red.

I think she should have rereleased them in the same order of the past.

If r/TaylorSwift is a shithole imagine r/fauxmoi which are not even fans in most cases. The only purpose of that subreddit is to fabricate negative narratives about everybody based in gossip and twisted facts. Reddit overall is filled with people who should take a bit more of fresh air and use less internet.

I just knew that she was referring to ITHK when she said that it was her first time doing it live and had a lot of fun making it, the Jack and Lover mentions made me more sure... I've been worried about ITHK since the tour kickoff because I was sure that she's either going to butcher the first and only time she acknowledges it or not do it at all, but as always she proved me wrong...

She really did it justice and the singalong made it even better :smitten:

As has been said here quite a few times, there is literally no venue in the Philippines that can support something like the Eras Tour. They have a few big arenas, but the floors are too small and the roofs are too low, and the Eras stage wouldn't work for a field show. It sucks, but there is literally nothing Taylor can do about it aside from personally paying for the construction of a big 60k+ football stadium there :deadbanana2:

She could possibly do a show in the Philippine Arena (50k capacity) with just the back of the stage and a majorly reduced pyrotechnic set, but I can't imagine that she wants to devalue or compromise the production of the show like that. Hopefully she does massive residencies everywhere else in Asia with stadiums so some Filipino fans can fly in
