The way peace is thematically similar to Ready For It—both being about her insecurities about her fame tarnishing her relationship with Joe—but the actual music on both songs tells its own story. Ready For It is loud, brash, abrasive, and in your face, almost as if she’s defensive and trying to scare him off, while peace is tranquil and gentle because she has made peace with the fact that he’s going to stay, despite all the noise and her fears that she doesn’t deserve him.

ready for **** is a **** song whereas peace is an immaculate masterpiece. There is just no comparison I fear

Are we really doing this again? I did not compare the quality of the songs in any way. Being able to recognize common themes across Taylor’s discography is an essential component of being able to fully appreciate the depth of her writing and her growth as an artist.

peace is in my top 5 of her discography. Ready For It is not in my top 100. I am still capable of recognizing their thematic similarities and her growth from the time she wrote RFI to the time she wrote peace. Why is this so hard for you?

Trailer for her new movie was shown today(Amsterdam -  Nov. 4th) behind closed doors and she's in atleast 2 different scenes - 1 in a period costume dancing and the other standing over a casket with Chris Rock & Christian Bale.

I was so used to calling it Canterbury Glass.

Apparently she plays a grieving daughter.

because even if they are thematically similar they're being put in the same light, which is insulting to peace :deadbanana4: it's like if I compare Call it What it is: Legendary to End Career. One was done right, the other wasn't :rip:

I love RFI. She still has at least a hundred songs better than it. :jonnycat:

Ready for **** is awful, abrasive, noisy, try hard, cringe-inducing, trend-hopping, annoying, grating, unpleasant...

Probably her worst song، even worse than Me! :bunny2:.

Anyways, apparently she's gonna be crying in Amsterdam :toofunny2:

Everyone knows that there are racists Taylor stans.

You can tell just by their preference of “real music” AC ballads over rap, and R&B, flavored pop songs.

RFI truly is one of her worst songs ever. Not only is the production extremely abrasive but the fake rap girl persona is borderline offensive. The epitome of white girl rap :rip:

If she wants to delve into more hip pop and R&B she should do so gracefully and with tact. IDWLF is not a perfect song but it gets the job done without being a parody song. Whoever gave RFI the green light should be fired :rip:

Ready For It is still fantastic and should have been the lead to reputation, people that don't like it are scientifically proven to be ugly s2s. :celestial5:

Burton to this Taylor :bibliahh:the worst line she's ever written, and she really thought she did something there. Swifties praising that line and gassing her up for it should be fired from the fandom  :toofunny2:.

They can’t hide their micro aggression.

They hear rhythmic sing-speak over fat bass, 808s and call it, “offensive” music.

They want their white guitar blonde girl.

RFI is amazing! I know it's production is definitely an acquired taste, but it's a perfect opening for rep (and even moreso for the tour! I remember seeing it live and it was like that song was made to open a show). :jonny:

I love how the industrial-style verses contrast with the softer chorus. The song is chaotic but for all the right reasons: it perfectly encapsulates the sounds/themes explored on reputation.
