So anyway, I still don't get the purpose of Wondermind and the mental health talk is becoming so redundant and is damaging her engagement on Instagram - although I bet the reason she's more active on TikTok is in part to counteract that lol. I really am curious to know what her plans are in terms of music cause she's been doing so many different things in different fields that people are soon gonna forget she's supposed to be a singer 

 

But I really don't know what to expect so I'm excited to find out, since I think playing it safe like she did for Rare would backfire tremendously. My biggest fear is she's gonna do a bilingual album cause that would be a huge mess and alienate her fanbase, just look at how poorly Camila's album has done worldwide even with a current hit attached

Hm idk, at first i thought this too, but then she kept pushing the song on tiktok so much. Even paid others tiktokers and 
mixed the song with that Alex audio trying to get a viral. She barely does that for her own songs let alone for a soundtrack lol

 

 tbh i'm just soooo glad it got scrapped. IFP was very juvenile.

I also fear a bilingual album. I hope she releases it and moves on cause actress Selena is better to be honest. She had a good run as a pop-star!

I mean, I'd be here for a couple of Spanish tracks tacked in there but if it were to be a 50-50 thing and the English stuff was Latin-infused while the Spanish songs still had English lyrics in them, then yeah, that would lowkey be the recipe for disaster and the US would drop her for good I fear 

 

The ideal to me would be for Revelación to have been a one-off but for Selena to release more collaborations with Latin artists in the future, just without the commitment of a full project

Right! I think the only people that can pull that off are artists like Shakira whose first language is Spanish. I think Revelación was a great project and I think she shouldn’t stop releasing songs in the language. I would also love an LP in Spanish, not right now but in a few years when hopefully her acting side is more established; I think it would garner interest from the people as opposed to another English album. 
And I keep saying it, but I do hope she releases it this year cause I can’t take waiting more for it and I believe if she doesn’t do it this year, the whole thing will become stagnant (and end up becoming Rare 2.0). I like to believe she’s only getting more roles from now on so there won’t be place for music

we have no choice at least it’s not another fan-made rumor about her dating someone like chris evans

 

I don’t think she’d do a bilingual album, at least it’s not what I’d expect from like the four producers and songwriters we’ve seen her in the studio with. but yes it would be a mega tank a la selfish love  like has been said already, she needs something new. stars dance to revival was a big shift and new sound and it paid off, but rare wasn’t nowhere near as exciting so it’s easy to see why it didn’t have the longevity it should have

Oh nah, she better not. I'm definitely here for a full spanish album, but a bilingual one? Nope.
I love the fact that she is huge WW but i don't think is a good idea to let go the US market. Rare was kinda  wasted, you know, barely promoted and Revelación was for LATAM. 

 

It's been a long time since she was really played on US radio nonstop. So yeah, Sg3  needs to be full english.

English album first, then she can release a full spanish project when the summer hits  LATAM. 

 

I don't want a safe album too. I want something fresh and ahead of the  time. 
I see sg3 as her last hurrah as popgirl before she start to focus on her acting career for real, so she better serve her best.

 

 I want the lead/ album to shook people like GFY did. Also, a good rollout, well promoted era  with at least 3 singles.

i don't think she likes acting more than she likes RELEASING music when she express herself.

i think that's in the past, since she got more freedom i see passion at her projects 

 

but yeah she likes overall more being an actress than a singer

so we need to see how she'll balance that with her wanting to RELEASE music. cuz she's on a label, she has a contract and the world isn't a fairytale so we have to see how she'll manage things up. and yeah i'm sure she loves releasing music, she's very passionate since THWWIW, got even more with Revival and that still stands, she was HAPPY/FREE when she released LYTLM/LAHN and also on Revelación, she seemed very satisfied, i don't think she'll ever stop releasing music, but we have to see how she'll manage that with liking more an acting career overall.

not really, she has filmed Only Murders (and probably a movie). She did nothing in 2014 until The Heart came out.
