If the rumors are true it's gonna be iconic! Granted magazines don't have the same influence and status they used to, but covering Vogue US & UK at the same time would be a big deal. I think doing all of this just for the documentary would be a bit much though, unless she's actually releasing the album with it and the song we heard will be part of it, but I hope/believe it won't be the case cause I don't think that song would work as a single

Oh, yeah, that makes more sense. Then, if the double issue is happening but she only has one booked/done and is yet to do the other, it probably won't come till like March/April again. And I agree kinda, two big covers for a doc might be a bit much, but I think it warrants it better than just one album too. Now, if both things were coming at the same time that would have been more than enough too! After MM&M is out she'll probably go radio silent till she starts filming S3 and when she starts doing this I can't see her devoting herself to promoting a whole album while filming so I guess she'd release it the summer of 2023 (and that's if she doesn't have to film a movie or something). I hate thinking about this too much because they never do the obvious thing. I just want her to release the album and put her music career on the bench. I guess we will see. Excited for the promo in the coming days, the winter awards and the pap photos and info of S3 though

I saw Coldplay’s FYC poster and apparently they are only submitting My Universe for everything, including their godawful video for the song. 
They better get that filler AOTY nom to make up for it and give Selena something.

Also hoping Rema’s label submitted the remix instead of the original solo version to Global Music Performance.

So she approached him during the Revival Tour and they captured stuff but nothing serious and only in 2019 they really started filming “properly” but because it was going to be a “doc” about her trip to Kenya. Hmm, I’m glad it is what it is then (even if it was meant to be for charity, I suppose WeDay or Unicef). 
I too hope there is something from 2017/2018 because frankly those are the most interesting years along with 2016

Really? They really kicked her to the side  like this? No shade but, c'mon, Selena is the major reason that song went from 113  to 26 on spotify. Let's be serious for a minute 

 
Selena's team is so submissive. Is embarrassing. I can bet they didn't even check to see if the remix was the one being submitted.

Interscope nor her team have anything to do with that. It is all about Rema’s and Coldplay’s team being snakes. She still has a chance with the album so hopefully she gets that AOTY nom, it would be iconic lol

i really need her to at least adress 2017's kidney transplant and her 2018 mental breakdown. 

the doc is dark, heavy. 

those 2 years were, despite being 2 her most successful years when it comes to hit songs, the darkest years ever to stan her because we were really worried she was going to die. i don't even like to say it like this cuz it's so heavy but it was all of us biggest worry let's be honest. 

i get if we don't get footage it makes sense, but we need it to be adressed

Now why would Coldplay not submit their biggest hit? LSG was not even a proper single. It would be like Selena submitting Crowded Room or ASP

Calm Down remix should be submitted, but I guess since the Grammys value more songs with fewer people, Rema's team thought the solo one had bigger chances

I think it's okay they pushed the solo version of Calm Down. Selena probably hops onto these collabs to help out lesser known acts by giving them exposure. I'm sure they would push the remix if she really insisted. She is probably saving her sumbissions for projects she truly believes in and is proud of such as Revelación, while the collabs enable her to get her name out there and reach a wider/new audience. It's actually a smart long-term strategy.

I don’t think anyone is saying Coldplay shouldn’t have submitted My Universe but that they should have submitted LSG too, and honestly the general consensus is that especially the music video which is the best of the era. Both were singles, even if they had different success. About Rema, submitting the remix would have helped more than submitting the solo version because the remix is the one doing well in the US, and the Recording Academy is US based. You could say the people voting for Global Music Performance are people schooled in the genre and they will probably know about the song, sure. But they may not and Grammys are sadly about numbers too. And there’s nothing wrong with submitting stuff you have released. Submissions are just that, they won’t make future releases less likely to get nominated and the idea that she prefers to keep the submissions for projects she cares about does not hold up, because they are just submissions. She has fought her entire career for a nomination and only got it last year and fans always expected her to submit everything she could in hopes of getting a nomination but now it is better not to? Nah. This year she just didn’t release anything of her own so this outcome is not really unexpected but it is still disappointing. She could still get an AOTY nom thanks to Coldplay if they get it with their album so that’s something.

LSG is worthy a grammy best music video nomination. Its so so beautiful. They couldve put the bigger hit My Universe pop duo and LSG music video, since My Universe music video is just bad so it doesnt stand a chance 

 

anyway, i dont really care about Grammy nominations such as album of the year with coldplay… i dont like this new rule, just one feature getting the album credits…
