Real talk being a part of the BP soundtrack is a stain on her legacy no matter how good the song is. It’s just not a good look.

Is anyone else really shocked at the numbers Taylor is pulling?

The album is a cringe/snooze fest IMO and I loved 1989/Reputation.

I am so confused why it is getting so much hype…

I really am.

Specially hearing how bad it is. I mean... I get it that her fans are (rich) willing to spend 200$ each to support her. But (and I'm not trying to be shady) the GP doesn't know her music. She is HUGE within her fan base and they will support whatever. But outside them I feel like she is not known at all

Y'all have so little faith in Rihanna. In what world is a slow taylor swift song and a drake song in 2022 overshadowing a Rihanna comback? :skull:

I know.... Maybe I'm just caught up in the spiral.... But all in all the only reference I have for her in the Streaming era is Believe It and that scares me.

Even tho I know that the hype is there and she is in a point in her career where her image and power is at her peak

BELIEVE IT i-

Lmao sis-

Disney will want to promote Rihanna's song. It all comes down to whether it's good or not.

There's too many reliable sources talking about Rih on the Black Panther OST and indication she's on the first single for it to turn out to be false. HDD said they had many sources confirming it, a reporter from NYTimes heard she's doing the end-credits song and Mr.S said she's coming this week.

It's Marvel/Disney handling the release and they don't care about competition from new Taylor or Drake music - they have a schedule to follow and the movie premiere is way too close to delay stuff. Soundtrack songs aren't usually expected to peak in debut week anyway, biggest week is the movie release week.

Kyle Buchanan (the NYT guy) is super reliable when it comes to film news. I'm certain she's on it.

Give us something. At least a hint. Imagine a new trailer closing with just a phrase of the new song with her voice. It would built such a huge hype for the Friday release. The wait is killing me.

Posted

I need her to:

• Tease the single release tomorrow.

• Announce the single release on Wednesday - for Friday.

• Post the single release (Spotify, AM links) on Friday + upload the music video on YT.

Her and Marvel need to work in conjunction with eachother.

LET’S GO!

He is the one that screwed things up...

Lets be honest here....

I am also honest saying that Drake+Rih made so much more sense to me that her with ASAP....

Even tho all of her EX's are muuuuuch more handsome than ASAP.... Her Saudi billioner was SOOOOO CUTE. Matt Kemp was SOOOOO CUTE.

And Drake has so much in common with her... they really were a powercouple

Facts lol. What do you think of the album personally? I am not a fan of it tbh.

BTW, do you think Rih is dropping a song this month?

Doing 100m on 3rd Day is definition of frontloaded ig

It's a simple fact. Drake is usually bitter towards woman.

He rushed released his house album the moment he saw Beyoncé announced her released date. He just wanted to be ahead of the curve and make it seems like Beyoncé was following his "route".

Now with Rihanna as well. And for her, he has even more reasons to act like this.

But just like Renaissance stomped on his album, Rihanna's song will eclipse his entire album as well. Just watch.

I still disagree on the Drake sabotaging concept. It be different if she announced R9 then he came out the blue. Anyone who follows him knows he drops 2 projects per year hence to why he a streaming monster lol.

+ we shouldn’t put all that pressure on a soundtrack. If its a hit it will peak and be stable, cause more people will go watch the film

Yea honestly i’m not expecting much from this track. It’s going to be a cute droplet and that’s it. Even if it doesn’t do great i won’t be worried.

i’m more excited for the r9 lead, whenever that happens.

Y’all do know Drake is friends with nearly every female artist in the industry? In regards to Renaissance he made it quite clear he didn’t wanna interfere with Bey 6 year comeback (+ repeat another Views vs Lemonade) so he dropped first.

His release didn’t effect Bey going #1 on BBH100 or BB200. The same really applies to Rih’s comeback. :michael:

Let's be honest... The lead single from the first movie's soundtrack was a HUGE HIT.

1.1B streams and Top10 in most of the big markets.

If the song is good enough it should be doing AMAZING.

First, coz its Rihanna, second coz it's one of the biggest films of the year and thrid because it's disney and they probably will push it
