Normani, sis...

I can totally understand her mindset, though. She thinks that everything has to be perfect. The debut album has to be perfect. Performances have to be perfect. I have to look perfect all the time and not make any mistakes in front of the camera. Heck, I'm a perfectionist myself, and it is soooo time-consuming and exhausting. So, I won't be surprised if Normani took this long to release Dopamine mainly because of her perfectionism, and that she keeps saying "videos are coming soon" because she wants to make sure these videos do not have a single flaw to them. Combined with the trash label that is RCA Records, it's just a whole recipe for disaster.

I was the biggest Harmonizer and Normani showed so much personality back then. Those Fifth Harmony Takeover videos were so much fun to watch! Fast forward to now, I don't know if she isn't the same bubbly and cheerful person that we came to know and love anymore, or if she's just suppressing her personality to appear like this cool, calm, and collected girl. She comes across as standoffish by being completely radio silent to her fans. To think, this is how we are treated for a six-year wait for an album? Girl, we do not deserve this. And yes, I respect that she might not like social media or not want to engage, but she has to accept the reality that she cannot make it in this industry if that is the case. Talent can only do so much. She might be working behind the scenes (or not), but there's NOTHING to show for it right now. And even if there's some team or label drama, you can't tell me that she can't do at least one SINGLE post to the fans for reassurance or something.

She really dropped the ball with her career. I still love Dopamine, and I'm still rooting for Normani. But sis, you're not gonna go anywhere in your career with the way things are going. Stop trying to make everything perfect, and just be your true and authentic self. I don't believe that she doesn't want to be a popstar anymore, because how can she not when she has been idolizing Beyonce, Janet, etc. for basically her entire life?

She needs to embrace her inner brat, aka that girl who is a little messy, likes to party, and maybe says some dumb things sometimes. And that's okay!

She wants to be a superstar and think she is. Lydia calls her that, she calls herself r&b pop star diva and Candy paint was written as « hit single » on TikTok description when it never went viral. She wants to be a superstar, she just though that she was gonna do huge numbers just because she did 200k on X the day she annonced the album. She did 12k and now she is frustrated cause reality hit and she was quick out of delusion world.

She also as issues with creating a relationship with her fanbase and it's been years and she never never worked on that part.

She think appearing as perfect will save her from critics, drags and hate when it's not the case. But it seems like nobody is telling her that or she is just unbearable to work with cause she don't listen and do whatever she wants.

I really hope she has something planned for the last quarter or the first quarter, because I've seen a lot of stans on social media who have turned in their Stan cards, and I don't like that.

I know it's been six years of nothing and an era of nothing, but you can't tell me this hasn't been a learning experience to go harder next. I have a little hope for the next album, because whatever she does now won't help "Dopamine" at all. If she doesn't have her sh*t together for N2, then I'll gladly walk away, but I just have a feeling N2 will have to be bigger or she's done in the music industry.

On what earth is the 91-OUT songstress getting a second album?

So this is just what I've been gathering. Normani and Co. were hoping that RCA would shell out money to help pay for the era (which includes performances, mv, tour and etc.). However, lieu of her last songs not doing as well chart wise the decided to rescind the notion. Which makes sense; she's in another Jordon Sparks limbo her music in the past has been somewhat popular but not enough to warrant extra money being thrown her way. Also, I'm assuming her old choreographer has left because she wasn't doing anything and wasn't bringing any money in so he went where the pasture was greener ( Cardi B, Vic Monet, and Tate Mcrae). It's safe to say that if CP doesn't pop off her career is pretty much over. Hence why she keeps saying soon and no definitive date. The VMAs may be the only place where she can get some hype back so they're banking on that. Hence why she didn't want to perform at BET so it won't kill the momentum/hype for the performance.

unless she drops the candy paint video around the VMA's… i cannot see a performance happening. that's the only way. and the video would have to be STELLAR.

I can't also understand why she has so much issues with creating content around her music. Her life can still be private and she can like do vlog like a day in a studio. She can do both. I don't get it. At this point I'm just waiting for a retirement post so I can stop dreaming and hoping for good

Her fanbase is here asking her questions but she prefers to repost Pilates TikTok? She will never change so the state of her career. My realistic side is def gonna win.

Yeah. I think she's too scary to be an artist. It's like wanting to be a teacher but hating kids and other people. You need to have social skills to be a great teacher; the same thing goes for an artist. She needs to get out of her head or all this would be for nothing. If I was Twitter Nation I would be pissed. They are in every comment section defending and went it's time to engage or promote it's always "run it up". She needs to understand that Nicki (even though I hate to say it) has been a force to reckon with in spite of her cancelled/hate train era purely based off fan support. She has cultivated a very strong community around her even Tinahe has her stans that ride with her. Instead of looking for the GP start by cultivating a relationship with the fans. Try doing a Q and A and answer some behind the scenes questions, take us through the process of recording; something! Like she doesn't even need to be the one logged in. Ask her publicist to set it up and have her reply. It literally takes nothing. running from her fans isn't going to be sustainable even if she crosses over to acting. 5H will forever be apart of her and will be asked about; she can't escape that. **** she can even play into it; which is what she should've done. It's no reason Camila who has officially left the group is interacting with those 5H tiktok's but she's acting like she's so above it. She could've reacted to that guy's TT and made it a cute joke. I mean the CP trend was literally a thing and she did nothing with it. If the VMA's don't happen then what is she going to do? Wait for the next album? Like take control of your own career lady and stop waiting for the label (who is definitely over her shenanigans and has moved onto Tate) stand in your way.

A lot of the nation on twitter are defending her but a lot of them too are MAD. Take a look at the community.  I came to the conclusion she isn't ready to be star, she can't take any criticisms good or bad, she don't care at all about what her fans say or want, she is victimizing herself when she is wrong like when she blamed the bad rollout on her ex management / label when she isn't doing a damn thing on socials, she drags an album that took her 6yo. My stan heart want to believe there's still a chance for her to be big but ugh I should just wait for the retirement post so i can free myself from hope for good. Talking about self government when don't even use your phone to promote your album …

If you are not ready don't waste people's time. And people are gonna say if you don't like it unstan but it's not working like that. Loving a person's music and stanning is two def things. A stan has an emotional attachment to the celebrity, you don't just leave like that especially if you waited ALL those years. Only sports fans can understand this feeling. I know cause I'm myself a PSG fan (drama club).

I hope the nation will continue to tell her her wrongs so she can finally fix them.

hold on… WHERE ARE ALL THE INSIDERS AND WHY HAVE THEY ALL LEFT US??? omg they must've knew this was coming… 😨😨

I would've went into hiding too, if all the spewing of this secret behind the scenes master plan never came to fruition (though plans are subject change I guess)... there's only so much wishful thinking and hopeful positivity one can spout before losing all hope.

This is Normani. We've all known how she moves for years now. She drops - then dips. There's no one to blame but herself. Everyone around her wears rose-colored glasses and noise canceling earphones (reality is whatever they want it to be). I can't stomach the amount of excuses the delusionals concoct in heir stan brains for all the questionable choices and decisions that have been made throughout her career. The staff changes but the issues remain. At some point you have to take full ownership, good or bad. This is her bed and she seems pretty comfortable lying in it ...literally

...still hoping for a music video besides the 2021 released "Wild Side" to accompany this flop album. And I say this with all love because I honestly LOVE the "DOPAMINE" album ...but what I'm not gonna do is sit here and lie. The album is a certified FLOP from every angle. Sad but 100% true. The only thing I imagine could possibly save this era would be a Grammy win and the chances of that happening are.....

The album mad zero noise, how will she get the Grammy? This era is dead.

i swear I can't past all that. How do you not fight at all ? She mad one post with All yours as an audio and called it a day.

She thinks calling herself rnb pop star diva and naming her work as cultural reset will give her the superstar statue instantly.

I feel like over the course of these past few months, I've given her so much grace but honestly I'm just over everything. I love her, but I just wished she fought harder for her career or just give up. I'm okay with either one.

They are dumb as hell but they are mostly doing that to « protect »  Normani, she doesn't seem to care

U know even if the label didnt support Normani. I just thought about how she has millions of followers and she could have utilized instagram, tiktok (Where she did very well with dances and could have done during covid to build a huge following since her first videos blew up) as well as youtube shorts to promote the album and get it out there easily at no cost. All it would take is more engagement with the fans and her recording herself. I dont care about the slay anymore either. She should promote All Yours and move onto the next album tbh.

Relying on the VMA's for the third time is crazy.

I want to see her next move but what is crazy to me is not giving a damn about valid criticism from her fans, you can't go far like that. In her last interview she stated she loves to learn, no you don't, cause you clearly don't learn your mistakes. See how other artists are thriving and you see her and ugh…

Posted

Twitter nation has always been the most vocal in their support, but I often wonder if they genuinely care enough to buy or stream her music.
