Lmao I came here to complain exactly about this. Just went through the tweets of that insufferable community on twitter and they really do love to gate keep everything in regards to Normani and act so self-righteous lmao - not them having an aneurysm over the title of the next single leaking as if there hasn't been a leaked clip of the song circulating for about two months where she AUDIBLY sings the phrase candy painted. Twitter nation are very low IQ people. 

 

Also saw a few tweets on there of people talking about 'ATRL insiders' - so they're creeping on here, I really wish these threads couldn't be publicly viewed.

I think they don’t want it to be all over the net because Normani already was ANGRY the song snippet leaked in the first place. Normani doesn’t like leaks, people shouldn’t be mad at the fans for not wanting the artist to be upset.

When you & @WheresJay mentioned the bass of the actual song being softer than the snippet, you mean it’s softer like a song meant to crossover right? Something like this 

 

and less like a fully urban/rap song (random example)

Yup, that’s exactly it. The bass that was in the party video would do miserably on radio. The way they mixed it feels more like easy listening however her delivery demands your attention. Again, it’s addictive.
