Letemtalk Posted June 19 Author Posted June 19 Since her sister Indy is releasing a new song on 28 June, we can probably rule out the 27th as a release date for an L4 single, which means no June release. I wasn't expecting one, but that was the only 27th day of a month that made sense before September. Edit: I'm glad I covered myself by saying that I was talking about an L4 album or single. 1

conquxror Posted June 21 Posted June 21 this is actually an amazing time for her to release a random droplet… release silver moon mother
badvibez Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I'm actually shocked at the positive reception and lack of nasty comments in response to the remix. I never thought I'd see an overwhelmingly positive Lorde thread. Has ATRL finally come to their senses?
Clandestine Posted June 21 Posted June 21 She could hardly have released two more different tracks than the Charli remix and Take Me to the River but I've really liked both of them! Ready for L4 to be a banger.
SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted June 22 Posted June 22 I watched her live performing this song and knew the lyrics from obsessively replaying this. Hope it still sees the light of the day in L4. Back then I thought it was imminent but it's been a year now.
Reflektor_Creep Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Talking Heads cover and Charli remix are not enough, give us the album then queen.
Letemtalk Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 Hope you all submitted your list of ATRL Best albums of all time here: https://atrl.net/forums/topic/477325-atrls-best-albums-of-all-time-vote-now/ Please read the rules in the thread, you need a minimum of 10 albums (should be easy) and a maximum of 20 albums. Maximum of 3 albums per artist only. For submissions under 20, maximum of 2 albums per artist is allowed. Deadline: 30th June 2024 Also thanks to @Kayseri Mantisi for posting this thread on what we know about L4 so far. I'm sure I'm going to lose track of all the info posted in the thread so linking it here too. https://atrl.net/forums/topic/478995-heres-everything-we-have-about-lordes-upcoming-album-are-you-excited-for-it/ 1

Alaska. Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I've been missing her lately. I guess I should give Solar Power another try instead of waiting for L4. California was such a magical song when I was able to wake up earlier during Summer and walked my dog next to the river with the sun still rising. Maybe I should do the same next weekend 1

However, if you look at that picture, in the area above her arm and and above the chairs, the shape of the roofline with those three windows looks quite similar to the Chateau Marmont roofline on the left-hand side in the photo below. Most likely the picture where she is lying in the sun, is also from the Chateau Marmont. @80x100 posted this thread a few days ago: https://atrl.net/forums/topic/479116-charli-cara-lorde-and-anya-taylor-joy-debuts-new-girl-squad-at-troye-concert/ Some questions I have are, why was she there and why has there been no live performance performed for or announced for "The girl, so confusing version with lorde" and why was Jim-E Stack with them in London? Perhaps they was were there to work on L4 again. This means people expecting an album in July or August are going to be out of luck. https://x.com/LordeHaus/status/1806453856227709263

She also worked for months in UK a few months ago & recorded Take Me To The River there too. 1

Whenever this does eventually get released I am so curious to hear about the process of how L4 came together. Based on what she's divulged over the past couple years I would imagine she scrapped quite a bit, maybe an entire album's worth of work? She was supposedly listening to her music last year in autumn. Then sporadic posts earlier this year. Seems like in 2022 when she wrote in several emails that she kept working, it was only rough demos to test the waters with Jim-E? Also, so much traveling for studio time! 1

Also, so much traveling for studio time! I feel like at one point she met an another producer which changed the direction of the album. Or she wasn't sure how to combine the sounds of different producers into one album, idk. For example I always felt like the two demo songs she live debuted was produced by two different people, Silver Moon by Dev Hynes and Invisible Ink by Jim-E Stack. But she generally takes a long time between albums as we know so everything's going okay probably lol. 1
