ontherocks Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) There is no actual release strategy or plan with Lana albums, therefor they are rather uneventful. In the case of COCC and BB, it didn't work out. It worked better with NFR because a) up until DT, there was no single material on the record, so they were just putting out songs with Lana teasing other tracks on her Insta and that kinda worked, because the album was strong. If she doesn't have a strong record coming up, there is no need to tease or release singles five months ahead. And there is the potential leak situation cause somebody already has at least some of the songs and our insiders remain quiet Edited October 24, 2022 by ontherocks

The person who stole her computer was just a random thief
stjosephprey4us Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 The snippet leaks from recently (Dark City, the Janis Joplin cover, and country roads take me home cover) aren’t even from LDR9. Believe me, if a seller, insider, or Lana Stan was the one with that laptop we would definitely know by now
State of Grace. Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Imagine the thief not even knowing who she is / the worth of the shite they stole hope nothing really l-words until she announces it
ontherocks Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) I also think that she should learn from the queen of sales, Taylor Swift how to use TikTok to her advantage and teases music that is actually strong enough to make a splash and not middle of the road crap like Let me bove you like a woman or Borcadia Edited October 24, 2022 by ontherocks

James_Dean Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I wonder if putting up a reward for the laptop and belongings would've helped in recovering those items... tho enough time has passed, I'm sure it's too late now

I am just wondering: she clearly has albums that are remembered and consumed, we can see three of them poppin on every spotify update. I just wonder why she so often choses to make records where she knows from the start that they won't make any waves.

It’s almost like I’m typing in my mind.” Her Song for Sharon is coming ngl, I'm very afraid this will be another Banister, and the next one after that will be yet another Banister, her wordy songs can be very hit or miss, I'll pray for less questionable lines like the picasso and the BLM ones...hell, I'll take another Jack album, a Jack album cannot be bad and I hope we won't ever hear about that Erickson person again.
State of Grace. Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I am a Blue Balls apologist and even I wouldn't take another album like it. It took me weeks to really get into the album (I swear im not on copium) and I do see why many people including die hard stans don't like it.

To be fair, BB only had three wordy songs.
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I'm curious, did the Bartender instrumentals ever made their way online?? Because I remember every NFR instrumental l wording except for that one (the one I was more excited for)
GentleDance Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Still got this very vivid memory of Venice's release, how much of a collapse that was, how much of a slay that was, didn't get a wink of sleep in 48h
TYMPS Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 I think it's time we revisit Guns and Roses...maybe she was ahead of her time She hits these days, especially considering songs like Mariners, Venice, Wildfire...expanding on that sound She was always a soft skip for me/should have been replaced by Flipside, but it does not deserve the mass dislike

The build up to the bridge is perfectly Lana

It's giving 2012-2013 Tumblr era vibes.
ontherocks Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Oof. Kinda a hard drop compared to the previous weeks. Taylor collab didn't really boost her catalogue. It's time for her to get on TikTok and start teasing a SMASHA. Edited October 30, 2022 by ontherocks
