Well, that's what happens when you keep releasing Jazz music all the time. We had more Jazz albums in the last 10 years than we had pop albums. 5

GP probably thinks Harlequin is her new album + a new soundtrack too. If this released right after DWAS she probably would do better. 1
Human Fly Posted October 29 Posted October 29 + I dont even want to think about possible less spotify support for next single. They gave Happy Mistake a chance with TTH placement and it flopped They gave this one even bigger push it flopped too. They wont add next single to TTH i fear.
SharGaga Posted October 29 Posted October 29 (edited) The problem with Disease is the chorus and lack of bridge. Just like Applause the chorus is sandwiched between a catchier pre and post chorus. As for the bridge it feels very much like a third verse like Stupid Love. In this case it's just the chorus with a few different words. Lyrically it's not that deep either and this type of vocal delivery didn't help Perfect Illusion. Still there's a lot to enjoy. The production in the verses is a sound people have been asking for. The last minute of the song is glorious with the production and vocals. The adlibs and vocal layering are also top notch. It would make for a great album opener. It just wasn't the right choice for lead. It makes sense with the Halloween stuff I guess. I hope it's a long album like 20 tracks and that we get some promo singles too. I'd love a cute little number before 2025. Edited October 29 by SharGaga

Artur Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Liddos attacking Bobby's personal accounts are so embarrassing. I understand getting frustrated, but that's just too much. If you are not happy, just leave. What a bunch of cry babies. 12 1

This is childish behaviour- he's not the only one responsible for all of this. they think it's a one man show yet he needs the approval from a team of people for the marketing and everything. Stop it. 1
Popular Post Andraslop Posted October 29 Popular Post Posted October 29 The most shocking thing for me, is how they (and she) let this happen after the JFAD fiasco. I mean, if I was Gaga (or Bobby or Interscope), after having the biggest panned bomb in years (aka JFAD). I would really try and make sure, that the next project (aka Disease), is a success. Because after JFAD, she was in a very delicate position, in which she couldn't afford another flop. The material was there. She made the most difficult part (a banger with a presumably good MV). They only needed to have a eventful and proper release, which was the easiest part. Instead, we got the worst possible roll out (underwhelming teasing prior to the release, inexisting interaction, no physicals, no MV, no interviews). The result: her worst performing lead single EVER (after 5 years of waiting, and in the same month as JFAD). I really don't understand it. How can everyone let her career being sabotaged in such a dumb way? She just doesn't care? Or she's not aware at all, and lives in a bubble? Everything is just frustrating 16
Anthinos Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Her team could at least create some hype by giving us a teaser or a promo pic or whatever. This silence is so boring. 1
torontowest91 Posted October 29 Posted October 29 i love the first big beat drop - i wish there was more or extended version
Edu Posted October 29 Posted October 29 at some point we need to start holding people accountable we can't pretend that everything is going to be okay when it's clearly not 3
eclipsed Posted October 29 Posted October 29 (edited) So we might not even debut top 20 now due to Tyler album bomb top 40 if we're lucky can't believe how poorly they mishandled this rollout wow Im not even sure what her team is paid to do Edited October 29 by eclipsed
SharGaga Posted October 29 Posted October 29 (edited) We need a catchier second single. Maybe Gags can pull a lifetimes and record a last minute home video playing with her dogs and rush release something in November or a cute little promo single before the second single in January. She could drop Girlfriend or Dance In The Shadow which have a catchier chorus. Edited October 29 by SharGaga

Everything is just frustrating I honestly think she doesn't care. Sooner or later, everyone fades from the spotlight; it's useless to try to chase that level of success for the entire duration of your career. I also think the song isn't resonating with the general public and that's the main problem. Tyler debuted with 10 million streams, and I doubt he had any kind of promotion. Paws up forever, legacy acters
Almodusa Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I had a dream she announced a second single called "Ally" for the first week of December dd

gagalips Posted October 29 Posted October 29 I honestly think this is it for her career. Movie flopped, side album flopped, single flopped Thank you Bruno indeed. She can still tour tho due to her catalogue 3 1 7

Everything is just frustrating I don't intend to add on to the pessimism, but there's also something we never discussed properly and is the fact that we saw Michael encouraging her to go back to pop as something positive when it's actually... worrying to say the least. Was she done? Had he not stepped in, would Harlequin be LG7? 1 2 1
