Gar obviously enjoys Jazz more than pop nowadays, but Chrome shows she still knows how to craft a pop hook better than anyone else. If she were to somehow find a way to blend her pop sensibilities with an original jazz album, I think she would have something big on her hands. It would be a totally unique venture for her and I think the industry and maybe the public would appreciate it. She would be able to create jazz like she obviously loves while also pleasing the pop fans.

Does anyone know if playing a local file on iTunes count as stream on Apple Music? One would think no but then again iTunes/Apple Music matches the files with Apple Music's library and when I search the whatever album I have ripped from a CD it shows as if I have added it to my library. Also, the songs appear in "Replay" as if I've streamed them when I actually used local files.

It's confusing!

Joker: Folie à Deux
The announced October 2024 U.S. release date by Warner Bros. for Todd Phillips’s musical thriller suggests a Venice/TIFF launch for this follow-up to 2019 Venice Golden Lion winner Joker. Joaquin Phoenix returns in the role of DC Comics’s complex baddie, with Lady Gaga in the role of Harley Quinn.

Shallow earned its way in the trinity with Poker Face and Bad Romance! Not only does it have the insane commercial success, but it has an Oscar to its cred. It spans generations and makes everyone sing. It has to be the most covered song from the past five years on Talent Shows. It's also clearly remembered on streaming.

Just Dance is a strong #4.

#5 is what is the harder one for me. People will say BTW because of its association with pride, but Telephone has more streams and Paparazzi is coming to surpass as well. ARUTW's stats are also right up there.

Now whether her 5th biggest hit is Telephone or Born This Way is a whole different debate, and trying to figure out where ARUTW lands is also less clear cut. But that’s my argument for what her hits trinity is.

Y'all make a really good point about her 5th staple hit. I agree with everyone on giving 3rd place to Shallow and 4th place to Just Dance.

If I had to make an attempt for the remainder of the list based on the long run:

5. Born This Way

6. Paparazzi

7. Always Remember Us This Way/Telephone

Born This Way is one of her best-selling hits, a Pride classic, and made waves being the first #1 hit to mention trans people which is especially critical given the song topped the charts in the US for six consecutive weeks. It's followed by Paparazzi largely because of its association with her VMAs performance, which was a critical moment in her career. ARUTW's impact is it's behemoth commercial success with zero promotion, but Telephone is one of the biggest and most iconic female collaborations of all time. I could see them both tiying, thought I think ARUTW will have better longevity.

I don't think we'll ever know for sure since AM has always been secretive about streams. I would think that matched songs count but not if they're downloaded onto and streamed from a device instead of iCloud.

ARUTW will be bigger than BTW in another few years time given the former’s continuous high daily streams on Spotify & YT

Given than Barry Keoghan is my new celebrity crush at the moment :alexz2: I would say 'Sexxx Dreams' would fit (so ARTPOP).

One of her best songs.

Deleted my ripped physical copy of ARTPOP and added from Apple Music library instead.

Need a cover without the PA-tag though.

Imo only the songs you saved directly from Apple Music specifically that are usually saved on a specific cache folder (they're like protected files that don't work if you don't connect to the Internet after 30 days) do really count, I think CD ripped or even music bought on Itunes don't count, I personally deleted everything I had saved from both CD or digital albums I bought (I even hidden my purchases on the settings) to be sure I'm giving proper streams.

Given the raft of accolades that inexplicably followed the first film, chances are Hollywood will be rolling out the red carpet for Phillips and co this time around. Expect a ritzy premiere, possibly at the Venice Film Festival, where Joker won the Golden Lion back in 2019

Deadline calling JFAD 'musical thriller' is another indication it's gonna be a drama with music scenes and not a traditional musical.

I'm thinking of doing the same. Just deleted my ARTPOP copy.

Now what to do with Flesh Tone by Kelis...

Several unplayable songs. Just the short interludes but I'd really like to have them.
