I really don't care about the commercial aspect, but there's no way it would've done worse than SL. Worst case scenario, she would've flopped with dignity and quality but I really doubt it considering that any lead single was bound to debut decently thanks to ASIB. I remember when Gaga did an interview where she had lavender hair and she said she is inspired by monsters and that the lavender hair was the look of new era. This was around the time she recorded So Happy I Could Die too. The whole industry will be DONE. I imagine the strike will end by Winter... at the latest. For the good of all parties involved. As of now, Joker 2 is WB's only DC release in 2024. It's strategically placed in a good release date so that it can be premiered in later summer festivals and also a window that has proven good for BO as well as awards season.
