That’s right is the best song on the album- I’ve concluded :priceless:

Its the most idgaf/trolling song she’s done, I’m living for it :dies:

I love seeing the meltdowns for it. What a way to close the album. You guys enjoy your thesis pieces - my toes are in the sand :skull:

I will say, I'm finding this to be a no skip album for me (so far). There aren't any Einsteins, The Sun Will Rise, Whyyouwannabringmedowns, Run Run Runs, Yeahs, or Go Highs (no shade, but they are immediate skips for me).

My only skips are me and sometimes RFC depending on my mood.

OK, so I also tried to change the song order to make it like an arch of relationship and this is what I think might be it:

1. Chemistry

2. Favorite Kind of High

3. Magic

4. Skip This Part

5. Mine

6. Lighthouse

7. I Hate Love

8. My Mistake

9. High Road

10. Red Flag Collector

11. Rock Hudson

12. Down To You

13. Me

14. That's Right

Basically 1-3 are the happy part of the relationship, then Skip This Part is when it suddenly goes all wrong, with Mine, Lighthouse and IHL being the immediate feelings when trying to deal with the situation. My Mistake and High Road are kind of a transition when it starts to get a bit better. Then with each song Kelly gains more strength and confidence (peaking in Me) and eventually leaves past behind (That's Right).

Tbh, I had the most problems with placing RFC but eventually I put it together with Rock Hudson, as a revelation during the divorce (RFC) that he really ain't no knight on a white horse (Rock Hudson). Me is kind of a wierd choice sonically between DTY and That's Right but it makes sense to place it at right before TR as for lyrics.

Tbh, this track order makes the album more powerful imo.

Not super surprised although chemistry being #1 was a bit of a shock. I do love that song especially the sustained gorgeous high note.

this makes so much more sense to me … i was thinking that while listening. it kind of makes no sense the way it’s set up.

Love this because another gripe I have with the album is that, like she said, it’s the entire timeline of a relationship, but it’s not in sequence at all. FKOH makes no sense as a 7th track. Especially when Skip This Part opens the album.

I like that in chemistry she is reflecting and realizing the relationship is over, then we get to go with her back in time with her to when it was good with fkoh and magic. Then immediately after magic she tells us, "I need a do-over". It's really brilliant sequencing.

I think the first half of the album is going in reverse chronological order, and the second half flips to normal, but they’re both covering a similar period of time.

I love the idgaf of thats right, but what a weird closer

Agree. The only track in the original order that makes sense is That's Right. FKOH makes no sense in the middle of the album whatsoever. Overall I feel like FKOH, Magic and Chemistry are kind of out place on the album theme-wise. But it's quite powerful to put them together as "look how perfect the love was" and then go into the songs dealing with pain, betrayal, anger, regret and so on.

I get why they put STP as opening song as it is not imo your traditional song but so it is either an opener or an interlude/transition song. But let me tell you, the title track works beautifully as opener.

I see the title track more like the beginning of the relationship when she is unsure if she wants to go further but she can't resist it.

I haven’t fully digested the album yet to make my own but at some point I’ll make one up and see what I come up with. I feel like I’d close the album with Me though. I feel like it works best lyrically and sonically as a closer. But I also have only listened to That’s Right like once or twice so we’ll see. Once I move on from Rock Hudson, I’ll mess around with it but I like your sequence.

FKOH would probably be better as track 2 or 3 tbh.

That said, it just compliments Magic and Chemistry despite the odd transitions between the three.

Remember this week isn’t the week to deep analyse the songs data for second radio single, it’s next week when playlisting changes - FKOH has its earlier release playlisting still largely there (positive thing but song isn’t blowing up), rock Hudson has release week focus playlisting. These numbers would seemingly say that lighthouse is the song with best potential (although it’s not really a summer song).

Just your daily reminder that FKOH slaps :celestial4:

Rock Hudson would smash, despite what some of the tasteless takes here would have you believe.
