I really have a fondness for Favorite Kind of High now. It’s so different than everything else on be album. I will say it stands out in a bad way kinda because there’s no live instruments compared to the other songs. It’s still good. Should be pushed to pop radio followed by magic (which is the best song on the album).

Same tbh. It’s too bad her promo got all messed up with the strike. But I maintain I’m still not mad about it as long as they take advantage when things pick back up. I hope she sings each song for a Kellyoke to open her shows when it comes back. Let’s give this album legs.

Also have to say I feel like the opinions this time around are more all over the place than most of her other records from what I can recall. I think that’s a sign of a great album when everyone has different songs that are in their top tier rather than everyone agreeing on 3 that are good and the rest seem like filler.

I'm not really a fan of this album ngl.  Only lighthouse and favorite kind of high are decent. I am disappointed after 6 years, but I am glad everyone else is enjoying it!

I am disappointed either. MOL is even better. I think she doesnt care anymore whatever she will be earning for this record if it flops or not. But it is better to release something than nothing for her 40+ years old demographics.

It’s still early but this could end up being my favorite album from her, I’m enjoying every song more after replay. Normally by now there would be a few songs that I’ve either tired out already or didn’t like enough to keep replaying.

I've  only heard RH few times but I'm kinda with those who don't rave about it... It's cute but beside the pbp line (which is great), I find it kind of forgettable.

 

I gotta spend more time with Magic and Chemistry because after the 1st listen they felt like filler to me while y'all are all praising them.

FKOH is the only decent track in the album. The album gets old fast. Prolly, this will be her last album.

Several times actually, yes.  Off the top of my head, you saying FKOH being the only decent song when it’s actually the worst song on the album is a pretty big lie.

Agreed. Rock Hudson feels more like a talking song rather than a proper ballad. I like the lyrics but the production could’ve been done differently
