haha I don't think she was 😂; where she would have been would be the balcony with all the family/friends of the band/kelly and I doubt they would have posted about haha

Well dang :dies:

one of the shirts that were being sold at the concert last night is on her site now.  it's black and says "Birthday at the Belasco" on the back.  there was a black sweatshirt and a purple t-shirt that were available last night too, but i don't see it on the site.

I haven't been this stoked for a Kelly album since 'Breakaway' and tbh other than the odd skim-through of her other albums, haven't kept up with her musically, but after reading everything people have said about the show last night and the songs, it sounds like CHEMISTRY is going to be absolute FIRE

Updated my Spotify tracker today (as you can see I'm excited). Her discography has gained 124,237,048 streams since the first of January... aka a B&B equivalent song ;) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VieaybKINqXaDP8gZiW1bXnJ6Ku7yO4XM83yyzv_oCQ/edit?usp=sharing

today's update

mine: 2,784,118 (+180,462)

me: 1,309,449 (+88,023)

Total chemistry project: 4,093,567 (+268,485)

Not the hottest numbers for week 2 ngl, I do hope they have some sort of way to get it on people's radars before too long

To everyone who listened to the original High Road and Kelly's version, what are the main differences between the arrangements?

The shirt and tote bag that was on the store website are sold out now

Apparently Kelly's version is more bass-y, more Stronger-era-esque and just more strong sounding musically. They enhanced the song a lot apparently.

Yes there has literally been 0 promo. I really am starting to think these are promo singles and she's gonna release one before the album :dies: or maybe I'm just dreaming

She has so much power there are 3 people I think of when it comes to power. Kelly, Mariah and Whitney

This article has a good recap of the night and of the songs, including a few lyric snippets.

I’m curious why they didn’t get a presale for the single vinyl as that would’ve helped a lot with the sales - especially as it’s still available in the store

Yeah I was kinda thinking the same and that they’re going for “longevity” this era, but then I remembered it did get serviced to radio so :gaycat6:

Has a promo single ever been sent to radio?

For some reason I feel like it has but I can be completely wrong :rip:

A question for those who watch TKCS: is it really that special / better than other talkshows in the US? I'm still kinda shocked that it is so acclaimed (judging from how Kelly is/was often overlooked at Grammys/music industry)

It’s good and she is relatable. The covers are amazing and I think that’s where the success mostly comes from. I feel like a terrible stan saying this but I enjoy Drew as a host more. Kelly really needs to let her guests speak more, she interrupts them constantly and it’s grating to me as a viewer. That said, I still watch and support when I can.

It's sooooo good. She deserves it all.

Drew is so cringy. There's a reason they have to double her ratings and its still below Kelly:rip: I love her as an actress though

Sherri is sweet but ehhh

Jennifer needs to wrap it up

The covers are less then 2 mins of the show sis:ahh:

It adds something fresh but in no way does a 2min cover equal her success. They would just turn it off after

She is a natural. Drew is not and her ratings show for it. Tanking only thing saving her ia they cheat and split her show into two and count her ratings twice

There's a reason she's won Best Talk Show Host 3 years in a row

The viral clips from the show are pretty much only the covers though sis. It’s still a great show and she does very well, I just wish she’d let her guests finish their stories more.

Yeah I don't watch her interview clips cause she does have that habit of talking too much.  Even when she's not talking, she does too many "yeahs" or other filler words while the guest is talking.  I know she's just acknowledging the other person speaking, but it's distracting when you just want to hear the guest talk.

MJ is right. She is the interuptor. :rip:

I think she's gotten much better, though.
