In my circles (as someone who grew up Muslim) it's causing a lot of much-needed discussion, because a lot of Arabs started blindly dragging her calling her Islamophobic and a lot of South and Southeast Asian Muslims started pointing out lots of the migrant workers dying to build those stadiums are Muslim as well.

Queen of awareness and activism, actually bringing attention to an issue that really needed it :gaycat1:

But she’s a proud Muslim woman, confirmed by her father who liked this tweet :gaycat1:

People are out of their damn minds comparing France and Qatar and I would know I have devout Muslim relatives who’ve lived in both places :deadbanana2: France has less human rights abuses than Qatar no contest. She absolutely did the right thing.

Its ok it’s mainly Arabs who are angry at her other non-Arab Muslims will support our Albanian Muslim sister :heart2: I’ve always thought she should lean into that heritage more for more success in Muslim countries!

I don't think she is religious at all. She gives me atheist teas.

Guys does anyone know any details about the date she just announced in Tirana Albania? Ticket sales? Or is it free? Please if anyone can help. I can’t find anything online.

seeing that we know for a fact that FN tour/era ends at the end of the month (i guess technically next month with the holiday festivals) what do you think she has in store for next year? obviously she has earned herself some much needed rest from touring, but we know she never stops working. we know her movie with matthew vaughn is coming... i don't know why but for some reason i still suspect dl3 rollout will start at earliest spring 2023...

I think it's free but everything will be announced soon hopefully so international fans can book hotel and plane/train tickets in advance

The saltiness under PopCrave's tweet about Dua's World Cup :rip: she cleary stated she refused to perform based on issues Qatar promised but fail to deliver when agreeing hosting World Cup. She didn't say she doesn't wanna go point blank period because of various attrocities because in that case she would be performing in zero countries lmao

Also people forget she has been speaking out against a lot of social issues and giving a platform to activists. From LGBTQ rights to the situation in Iran to the current social and political climate in the US.

At the end of the day a lot of people who are now screaming are still going to watch the world cup while football itself is rooted in racism, misognistic views, Homophobia and other problematic things.

This 'all or nothing' mentality is what will stagnate a lot of movements in the long run because we all have to compromise while also speaking out. There are enough climate activists who 'hurt' the planet daily because of the way society is built, despite also doing good. Human rights activists who still put money in the pockets of the parties they fight unwillingly etc.

At the end of the day we’re all making money for the same 5 men that run this earth simply by living life :rip: No one is exempt of existing in that system, that still doesn’t mean we can’t criticize it

That fanbase is going around claiming she's doing a show in Israel as if she hasn't had full-page ads against her for supporting Palestine :rip:
