I've seen you saying this a lot lately and do you really think that ?

The Scarlet Era was SHROUDED with mess (the Doja hates her fans controversy, the "she is satanic" mess on TikTok with PTTR and Demons, the tee-shirt mess...) and yet despite all of this she was able to bag two huge hits. I'm sure she'll be able to connect with the gp again.

I can't imagine how a song between the two would sound actually, it's not even about miss minaj, I just don't see their styles blending well together sonically.

oh definitely. she alienated a lot of people regardless of the radio hits and the deluxe numbers say enough,

- demonic allegations

- "i hate my fans"

- n*zi shirt

- groomer boyfriend etc.

did a NUMBER on her reputation

None of these things she took accountability for which is probably why majority of tiktok is over her for the time being. she kinda reset herself back to square one in a way, just with more resources and a bigger name for herself i guess. Not saying all is lost forever but I highly doubt she has another Planet Her in her again (although I could be wrong) but Scarlet was already a massive underperformance in general, in like every single aspect lol. PTTR really kept it afloat.

It would've been a cute moment, but not NEEDED… I agree.  Lol.

It's about the music, not the image.  The controversy didn't help, but if the music is straight…she'll be fine (as per PTTR and Agora).  Now if those songs flopped, I would be worried.

The commercial success of the deluxe don't matter much to me, b/c it was no clear strategy to push one single.

Lead of next era will be a better determinate…and I wouldn't be surprised if she has another Vegas or Streets moment before that era.

But ultimately it's up to her where she takes it commercially…

clearly she needs to do experimental Pop.  Enough with the boom bap.

In fact, I lowkey think it was a regression artistically.  Because she's much more versatile than that sleepy conscious rap.

I agree because I feel like a certain audience would've ATE that industrial rave / house album or whatever genre she was trolling about early in the album campaign, if she wanted to be soooo edgy image wise, I feel like the music almost did the exact opposite? lol. Not to **** on Scarlet like that but I'll definitely say it could've been more interesting and experimental sonically.

Also,

I really want her to stop being featurephobic. I miss when she popped up on random songs and added something fun to each track. She's really such a talent so the lack of music (when her album eras are done) make me kinda sad because she definitely doesn't fill the gap like she used to... case and point

I know right…I'm still pissed about her trolling like that. When lowkey that's what she should've been doing :skull:

Dreaming of her having a reverse psychology moment where she decides that releasing a full pop album is actually the most edgy thing she could do.

How many albums until she fulfills her contract? Shouldn't the next one be her last with Kemosabe?

Understandable

I just assumed the next would be her last since Kesha was also on a 5 album deal. Unless Claude counted somehow which I doubt

Standard (at least a few years ago) was 7 albums for most major label deals, but I don't know if anyone has ever said for Doja specifically tho.

I also feel like no one ever thought Doja would blow up, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was shorter terms.

Honestly should've asked my RCA connect (when I had it).  Never even thought to ask.

Her streams have gone up since the new leg started. I wish she would perform Candy since its always in her Spotify top 10.
