fr it’s really the one that aged the worst and it was top 5 for me when the album came out… it’s the corny chorus i fear cause the "it’s so good" part is still heavenly :deadbanana4:

Thique could've been on Tinashe's debut album be serious. It's definitely the worst and most dated

Shall we revisit that weird Tuesday - Friday - Tuesday thing

Glad you brought it up because I NEVER understood why Hive made this out to be some big cryptic thing. The message was very crystal clear: releases used to be on Tuesday, Bey drops ST on Friday -> releases officially move to Friday -> and now she's releasing [released] BMS on Tuesday

Nothing more, nothing less. The whole debacle was really serving no deduction skills :deadbanana2:

I see that we’re sharing lies in here, well in that case I think that Jlo is a very competent vocalist

I’ve never liked it and never finished it throughout any listen of the album

Imagine my shock when I saw the Tiffany’s ad and my friend told me the “APPLAUSE! ROUND OF APPLAUSE!” was part of the song after I asked if it was new :deadbanana4:

This, THIQUE and AUIYM are mid live, I only care about drunk in abu dhabi performance :-*

This angle definitely reveals AUIYM as the best of the 3 live. DIL has the cute adlib outro but AUIYM is straight up captivating beginning to end. It has a raw grit and punch that really stands out amongst the setlist and wakes the audience the F up

Summer Ren is def not a highlight lol

but the worst??? :skull:

we all know why the least streamed songs are Thique and AUIYM

Summer Rennie was always very like warm.  It has its moments but it's flow is very stoppy starty and the lyrics just aren't as slick and memorable as other tracks. I love the second verse and outro but overall it just doesn't click like the better tracks on the album

And it's a complete waste of a tour closer, it just feels like credits rolling versus an actual climax :sorry:

100% sure that the naked men sitting around 0:33 is a scene from the film, i can definitely see the weird horror-like aspect being true for AUIYM in particular

I think the concept is there and I love how it's introduced sonically on the tour, it feels like it's about to shoot into the stratosphere but then the song begins are it's just very cookie cutter.

It needed more time in the kitchen to be the song I feel it was intended to be

that concert special is going to be something serious :jonny2:

I have a theory on "the big three"...well, mainly, DIL.

Lemme preface this by saying: I literally LOVE a well-oiled, slickly produced SHOW (this will make more sense in a sec lol).

With that, I "think" benching the songs is a combo of:

* Bey being at capacity: The show is a lot as is. I always got the sense the first show Stockholm was her feeling out her upper limit and it was immediately clear (to her) that something had to give. Hence chopping that section.

* Lipping! I can't be convinced that the Dubai version of DIL isn't largely lipped. Especially the climax. It's literally the exact same every time she touches it (the inflections, the "improv", the everything. Note for note). I personally LOVE a good prerecord and have many Bey songs that I actually PREFER in their "live" ("prerecorded") capacity. However, given how viral DIL Dubai went, I think she'd essentially end up telling on herself to even the untrained ear if we heard it the same every single show. Again, to the trained ear of a seasoned BeyStan (such as yours truly), there are some other clearly-lipped parts of the show (like the Cuff It bridge), but they didn't go viral before the tour and come with a lot of expectations going into it (like DIL Dubai).

Like most things Bey (including the visuals, I feel), it's all ended up working to her advantage. The "missing three songs" has become a "thing" and is now something she has made an "event". I doubt that was the initial plan, yet, alas, here we are three months later hyped for their return at a show most of us never even went to lol.

I don't agree with this.  Stockholm was different for sure

DIL climax is not lipped whatsoever...Dubai, Stockholm, Atlanta, and LA versions  all have elements distinctly different from each other. Plus the start & stop with the crowd interaction. It's been live every time. But the run IS the run and people have learned it...not every moment lends itself to going off melody and improvising.

I know Bey and pre-recording is a testy topic and one that seems to get some of the girls agitated. But, as someone who LOVES her commitment to giving an epic SHOW, I've always been really blown away and fascinated by the audio aspects of her concerts. The blend between live and not live is so seamless it's scary (in the best way). Bey and her musical directors over the years are unmatched.
