Im perfectly fine with bey never attending this mess again.

If she would release music, talk about it in a behind the scenes that she chooses to release however she wants, debuts videos, debut Instagram lives of her songs, makes an exciting era, tours ww she can remain a recluse. I really don' t mind.

On one hand I get the sentiment, this year’s Met Gala felt like a circus they let anyone just waltz around there with them ugly gowns. Most of these things are political and are meant to be self serving anyways. But then again a lot of Hive but mostly the gp critique her for being so reclusive and refusing to go out to these things. It seems hypocritical to ask her to not just drop a project but to actually do events/promo, but in the same breathe claim she is above it all and shouldn’t attend anything. Which is it then? I personally want to see more interviews from her, but through a controlled setting where she can properly answer them. And if she has a designer to promote, I am all for her attending the MET.

In 2017 she was pregnant and on bed rest, in May of 2018 she was busy recording EIL in Paris & rehearsing for the summer tour, in 2019 she was busy working on "The Gift" and i think in 2020 the Gala was postponed to another date but she still was busy with Ivy Park Drop 2.

Plus there’s a new era of celebs trying to have they moment. Bey aligns with the previous gen of fashionable names like Rihanna, Gaga, Zendaya, etc. If more A-listers had an open schedule the event wouldn’t look so bad lol.

Whether you attend or not, being nominated is gonna bring in the rating which is the primary goal of those said events. My original point is if y’all claim she’s “above” the Met Gala that same energy should be applied to Grammys and Oscars; given that she is a Black woman and has witnessed all thru her career how Blacks are treated at these events.

Instead we got Blow Remix and Ring Off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WVXDo2oze4 Would love for her to do something similar to Taylor and go back through her discography after B7. I'd tweak the Taylor format a bit and have them be live albums, so as to not dilute the importance of the originals and keep them pristine...but I'd love to have her just like, sitting down, singing with a live band the songs of an album top to bottom PLUS unreleased songs! [Like, Parkwood's version of an MTV Unplugged or the AOL Sessions]. Would make a great anthology too...like all the works re-recorded live and released in one big format. Probably, but I don't read into it either way. The moment she drops a new song they could replace the link with a download link, they wouldn't have to take it down days in advance. She is a well known stylist and designer. She has worked with people such as Ariana Grande and Melanie Martinez.
