Calling Nasty, Love Language, and Obvious filler? :biblio:

Go jump back up your mother

Lmao fair enough I know nasty and obvious are fan favorites. I liked those tracks at first listen but they're not hitting the same for me now in the context of the entire album idk why. :michael:

I just listened to Positions for the first time in awhile.  Honestly imo it doesn't hold up well and suffers from being way too cohesive that almost none of the tracks are able to stand out. Way too much half-baked filler (shut up, just like magic, six thirty, nasty, love language, west side, obvious, all the bonus tracks). She had some really good ideas but it seems like they weren't fully realized. Way too safe of an album overall. She really needs to work with more diverse and experienced producers for AG7 that can provide some guidance and challenge her artistically because Tommy Brown doesn't have the range or musical diversity to produce a full album (yet).

r&b isn't the most popular genre the mainstream right now but as SZA proved with SOS there is a large audience out there that is receptive to really great r&b material. She needs to fully commit to it and not water it down with overused repetitive trap/pop beats. It's frustrating because as fans we know she is capable of creating something great. We'll see...I'm still optimistic for AG7 though despite her questionable career and personal choices lol.

Agree about shut up, six thirty, JLM and the bonus tracks (except worst behavior), but nasty, love language, west side and obvious are amazing

The drought is getting to some of y'all if you think this Ethan **** matters at the end of the day lol. Listen to the leaks or something.

I get it's frustrating when it feels like an artist walks into things that can easily get them dunked on for online, but I find it hard to believe these things actually matter in the real world or the people who are making the most noise actually care when tweets like *this* are going viral, for instance:

I'm more worried about her thinking the fans will contribute to the dunking and any era that comes will be her hidden away in her high tower and we get like 1 video and a campaign that lasts for a week. I miss her and her artistry.

THIS!

People don’t care that much, and the people who are the most outraged by this are the people who already didn’t like her or werent supporters/fans either way

her fan base and casual listeners will still tune in and support, but we need the music tho :chick3:

Every time I listen to the album I wish she hadn't teased "nasty" and just led with it instead. It could've been a real moment from her(so, of course, she wouldn't have done it anyways :toofunny3:).

And someone like you should've been a full song, cause I swear that's one of my favorite R&B tracks from her. :jonny5:

Seeing her pictured with Max Martin. Into You synths playing in my mind. :jonny:

West Side always was one of my favorites :celestial: but it would've been way better if framed as an interlude

west side was an instant favorite of mine.

Any Positions slander is immature.

I won’t lie. i think she could pull off a reputationed version of thank u next for the next record in terms of pulling from public discourse and introspection, ranging from girls girl allegations to saying goodbye to dalton to a body positivity little moment from all the shite she gets for her appearance. Totally get if she doesn’t wanna sing about that though, doing the thank u next tour was already very heavy for her.

if she pulled the double album like sza recently with sos/lana, the first album be heavier but cvnty and the second album more glindafied about finding new love over the rainbow or something
