I'm not familiar with Wicked music, I only know Popular and Defying Gravity because of Glee lol but I'm sure she has been preparing for this moment her whole life so she won't disappoint.

Yeah it's called baking, she puts thick and light concealer underneath her eyes (and down) and then proceeds to press powder on top  it's a technique that used to be popular until a few years ago and it works well for some occasions (in pictures mostly) but it makes her face look flat in my opinion, because it blurs the features. She doesn't really keep up with the trend with her make up and make up line and it shows.

If you have Spotify/AM - just search for the Wicked soundtrack and it's the first song (No One Mourns The Wicked) and it the operatic vocals start at 1:30. She will quite literally open the movie with that scene

Yup that damn powder nnn   I used to like it but the look is indeed very outdated now and makes her face looks airbrush'd af. For a makeup brand owner she really needs to take some notes..

Never mind I refreshed the page and it worked just fine  I don't know what's going on 

 

Anyways.. I'm very curious to see if she keeps the heavy broadway style or if she makes it poppier, on one hand I think they're going to make it as close as they can, on the other hand it's still a movie with a big budget and they need to make it palatable for people who aren't that much into musicals.

I feel like she's honoring the original version of Kristin Chenoweth going by what we're hearing in that snippet. So it's going to be operatic, broadway and pop all at the same time.

She is, she is also universally the fan favorite so sticking to her renditions is a great idea. Popular is gonna sound iconic.

do you think that's actually her? people are saying that's a broadway recording so the soundtrack won't get leaked but it wouldn't make any sense, as much as they can be similar she's not going to do the exact mouth movement.. unless she has in ears with the new version 

It is 1000% her, Kristin doesn't sound like that at all

it’s definitely her. This scene is lipped to Ariana’s own recording of the soundtrack. It’s brilliant if people literally cant tell that its not the original lmao, actual broadway glindas sometimes struggle with those notes

 

It seems like a widely shot scene so lipping makes perfect sense here. im sure they filmed some live parts too in other scenes.
