Eh. I do think it’s still possible (50/50) for Vegas to happen this year, and I’m sure there’s a lot of logistical reasons why nothing’s being said yet. Still doesn’t change the fact that nothings set in stone yet. Until there’s an official announcement I’m not taking any one’s word for it.

This is from Adele's and I'm only basing my comment upon hers as well.

Glad I saw the light recently 1 I Drink Wine 2 To be Loved 3 All Night Parking 4 Easy on Me 5 Strangers by Nature 6 My Little Love 7 Cry Your Heart Out 8 Hold On 9 Love Is a Game 10 Can I Get It 11 Woman like Me 12 Oh My God The album just doesn’t appeal to the streaming audience. Ballad heavy albums and artists just don't connect with the streaming audience, which is why someone like Adele is rare. And I think her previous albums would have suffered the same fate as 30 if they were released today, minus 21, maybe. 30 is a good album but I have a tough time with the pacing of it and the tracklisting. I just can’t get over Omg, Can I Get It, All Night Parking being on a self-professed personal album. Some of them (Can I, Omg, and Parking) are downright generic and make the album seem silly and shallow. The album would have been almost perfect if it opened with EOM and went with the sound of To Be Loved and Love Is A Game, that 60s Motown type of sound that I thought she was going for because she said in an interview that she took inspiration from Marvin Gaye for the pacing of it. What happened? That sound would have been risky but it is far better than going from Can I Get It to To Be Loved. Like where was the label/executive producer’s ear? It was a terrible choice. Even untempos from 25 such as Send My Love, Water Under The Bridge, River Lea have more depth than the songs “on her most personal album” and sound far less generic. Omg and Can I Get It just seem like songs the labels made her record when the album was finished to make the album sound more commercial. It backfired with Omg bombing. And I actually like that song, but when you do clownery, well… ETA: I don’t want her to work with Ryan or Max Martin ever again. They gave her the most generic songs ever as if it was deliberate sabotage. Edited June 24, 2022 by Pleighboy

They gave her the most generic songs ever as if it was deliberate sabotage. I largely disagree with you. OMG and CIGI are obviously the most "pop" yes, but you're hyperfocusing on the production of those songs rather than the lyrics which from a narrative perspective that the album is telling 100% deserve their place on the album, the lyrics definitely do come from a personal place. I suppose they are the most "generic" sound wise (not ANP though that's a gem, nothing jazz is "generic" imo). SML is trash and the definition of shallow and basic, WUTB is a Kelly Clarkson reject, and while I love River Lea, there's something missing about it. The tracklisting of 30 is perfect too. I agree that 60s motown is a good stylistic choice but a whole album like that could've potentially been a bore ala whatever cosplay Bruno Mars is doing these days (and I find it interesting that you think LIAG sound is risky when ATRLers criticize her for that particular kind of sound for being "safe" but I'm on your side on this one). Off topic: but I'm tired of people calling 30 a safe album or pretending that it sounds the same as her other albums when she's doing this in this album no pop girl right now would dare to do. Strangers By Nature is straight up crazy when you take a look at the chord progression and melody: Adele is literally doing jazz and defying current pop conventions, but ATRL would rather listen to a basic 4 chord pop song with a 80s drum beat pulled from Garage Band and call it "experimental," and I say this as someone who love basic pop songs. Donquizote Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 She's trending on WW Twitter just because of her Hyde Park announcement. Imagine if she gets up from her lazy ass and starts the promo of 30 era. The GP are hungry for her new promo.
QueenofCopyPaste Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 The UK female artists on the lineup is perfect Legend Gabrielle alone being there And RUTI

So then she never said "this summer." Whatever publication you're thinking of was probably quoting her saying the Vegas shows are "absolutely happening this year," which is what she said at Graham Norton, which was my original point of contention here. I never said she didn't say "this year." My point is that Adele shouldn't being making bold claims, making promises, when nothing is set yet, at least at the time of that episode airing.
Donquizote Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 So happy that Avril is doing a charity to lazy ass Adele for promo.

Well there's only two seasons left in the later part At least plans are finally rolling beginning with the Hyde Park performance
abrahamjmr Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 There were publications saying Adele would start her Vegas residency during summer or at the beginning of fall though. Wasn't The Guardian or The Hollywood Reporter one of them?

I feel the same way about 30. People who think it sounds like any other Adele album are plain deaf. 19 is way too different from 21, same as 25 from the latter and 30 does not sound like Adele's third album at all. But I guess her haters hear a bit of piano and they run to label it as "safe". I also find the sound of Can I Get It quite generic, which is why I didn't want her to work with Max Martin ever again but here we are.

It's going to take some time for MYFML to reach one billion as it averages 300K streams daily, but EOM currently stands at 937 Million and averages 1.3 million streams per day, so I reckon EOM will reach this milestone faster.
