ATRL Moderator wehavetostan Posted March 31, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted March 31, 2022 Congratulations to Dua! At this point, Heat Waves, Levitating, Blinding Lights, and Stay will occupy the top 10 of Billboard’s All Time Hits if Billboard does not recalibrate its formula.
TaylenaStan Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 If they dont chance the formula by 2025 the whole top 20 will be filled with 2010's/2020's songs

By the latter half of this decade, the entire top twenty will be filled with songs from the late 2010’s and 2020’s simply due to the fact that streaming, as well as radio airplay - whose numbers are so low right now that it keeps songs of which are months old in high rotation forever - are helping songs sustain on the Hot 100 for 60/70/80+ weeks now.
tiagol88 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 This just shows how metrics are all messed up ever since streaming took over, nothing else. It's like saying Blinding Lights is the biggest song of all time

Stay is already #21 on the all time list and it's currently #2 on the Hot 100 It will probably end as the 2nd biggest song of all time after Blinding Lights
Bloodflowers. Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 The gays WON, Levitating is such a happy song with gay energy around it

Majority of the song's units comes from the DaBaby's remix. I stan neither of them but this songs success was partly due to him, nothing will change that.

Streaming has honestly become more faithful to the 'most popular songs every week' label the BB Hot 100 is attached to. The digital and physical eras were very 'buy once and thats it', we don't know if recurring listens of the purchased mediums happen. While repeated listens is a useless metric in terms of commercial benefit, it really proves how often people really love the songs/albums. Streaming has solved that issue. I agree. Not to mention that with streaming music is simply being consumed more than in the past, so lots of recent hits getting this high on the all time lists only makes sense to me
BlackoutZone Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 An absolute classic that will be diamond certified too People remain seething, but it's still smashing

Johnny Jacobs Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 It doesn't feel half as big as the other songs.. The new system is wack. My straight environment still hear it and ask me if it's Katy perry
mrpartyrocker Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 The fact that this song hasn’t even gone #1 compared to the others on the list, proves how massive it has been!!
