25 was released in 2015. Mention any album by anyone that sold that much in the timeframe you mention. I DARE YOU!

Divide is at 27M+ units and gaining much more daily than 25, it will snatch it before long. 1989 will also surpass it in the long-run after the re-recording.

so... those people that keep insisting she is a flop in STREAMING are the same ones that insist in comparing 30 numbers with 25 numbers... where is the logic? I guess their brain cannot reach that far...

30 is being compare with albums being released NOW, in the streaming era... and 30 is above them all in pure sales... if u going to compare, choose the same metric and the same time frame, dont expose yourself as not having any idea... cause it is embarrassing

So no album has been as big as 25. Wonder how y’all use/get these figures since 25 sold 20M+ pure in 2015-2016 alone. Ain’t this thread about that? Pure? :lmao:

Pure sales is a pretty irrelevant metric in 2022 no offence. CSPC combines pure sales, and downloads and streaming that are converted to a pure sales equivalent based on revenue. Based on those metrics, which the industry also uses (hence HDD recently saying Harry's last album is at 9M units--they mean combined pure sales, single sales, and streams), Divide will surpass 25 probably by the end of this year.

My original post was basically calling out the fact that 30 is a huge, huge decline for her and being the best selling pure album so far in a very lacklustre 2022 doesn't mean much. This seems like PR fluff from Adele's camp.

Ok but by the same point in time 25 had done 17M units worldwide while this has done barely above 5M. It's still a huge decline for her. She got demoted from Michael Jackson status to just another successful pop star.

Bad didn’t match Thriller sales either. No one can sell 30 million copies every time

i get it this narrative you've being trying to pass since for a bit now but even Michael couldnt keep up his reign. Bad did like half of Thriller's pure numbers and in the US the disparity is even bigger (33 million to 11 million). The logic isnt made sense.

anyways here for it! taylor will take over by the end of the year with the 1989 rerelease but to still be in the lead almost 4 months in is not bad for an underperformance.
