Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You,” which entered the market in January 2017, is already quadruple platinum in the United States.

“Shape” earned the RIAA 4x platinum honor on May 9, 2017.

The award confirms 4 million in US units; each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Shape Of You” spent twelve weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — and still holds a Top 5 position.

Anyway, that's huge.

Good for him. Song still sounds like a Sia reject, tho.

I continue to be both confused at how he's huge and unimpressed with his music.

All his haters are now like: "What?", "[A] flop.", "All that streaming [those] and days at #1 on iTunes, and [it has certified by] only 4x [platinum]? Mm.", etc., etc., etc....

And that's very sad, tbh.

Sis, that's equivalent to selling 1M copies a month for four months. :skull: The song will end up at least 6-7x Platinum by the end of this year.

he did 4x platinum in 4 months.

the most successful songs from last year "one dance" and "work" both went  5xplatinum through the year. this will easily beat that
