In terms of four consecutive decades with no gaps:

• Tina Turner

• Barbra Streisand

• Cher

• Madonna

• Whitney Houston (Posthumous)

• Mariah Carey

• Mary J Blige

Thus far, Streisand has the most appearances however - 5 decades. Her first appearance was in 1962 & her last appearance was in 2005. I don’t see anybody tying or surpassing that unless MC charts in the 2030’s or Madonna charts this decade. :rip:

thank you!

If we’re talking male acts, then Paul McCartney would have the overall record (6 decades) if we’re counting The Beatles.

He’a charted on the Hot 100 from the 1960’s through to the 2010’s.

I’m certain he’ll do it this decade too if he collabs. with Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift as previously spoken about which will then make 7 decades. :rip:

Queen! 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s! She's had a #1 album in each of those decades too. Coming for 20s as well.

That means nothing when it comes to Paul McCartney, the biggest Hot 100 & BB200 artist of all-time.

He was 72 years old when he featured on “45S” too. Give him another one of those with a bigger, current act and he’ll easily chart again.

Yikes :rip: the biggest fall from #2 for a non-Xmas song EVER.

(Also the biggest fall from the top 3 for a top 3 non-Xmas song that missed #1 EVER)

It'll be so great if she could get a #1 album this decade as well. I have a feeling she can.

The demand is there as long as the music is good. You saw how those documentary numbers did
