Also, let’s not forget “Whitney Houston” selling 100K units in its 10th week at #1 (May 1986) on the BB200, more than a year after its release and it was mainly due to “The Greatest Love Of All” smashing.

She truly dominated from the very beginning.

:gaycatina1:

she wasnt playing with these girls :clap3:

Plus in Honey & My All's cases,  R&B radio wasn't even included on the Radio Songs chart at the time.

This.

Honey was #1 on rhythmic radio and #2 on R&B

My All was #4 on R&B radio, #8 rhythmic (also made the decade-end hot 100)

Heartbreaker was #1 on R&B radio, #3 on rhythmic

TGIFY #1 on R&b radio

Pop radio was and still is a the biggest radio format. All these #1s were weak, especially TGIFY and Heartbreaker :sorry:

At least they are not as weak as Nicki's #1s, so it could be worse for Mariah!

Aka you decided to ignore stats to continue trolling. Nothing new there.

Imagine a certain fanbase coming for Mariah of all people when you see the amount of weeks her singles have spent at #1 on radio.

OSD outlasted entire careers :rip:

Even Gaga's biggest flops went #1 on US Hot Dance Songs chart, guess they were smash hits using ur logic :dies:

I'm confused - please can someone clarify why being a sales #1 but not a radio #1 made a song a weak #1? don't the sales show genuine interest in the song?

Madonna hits being legit though :gaynetcat4: the fact that Justify My Love went #5 on BDS radio and Erotica going #2 despite them being controversial and all she does is talk and moan :rip:  Truly queen of the early 90s.

It’ll always be a mystery to me how well the erotica  singles and JML performed
