I can't believe Emily in Paris of all TV shows took them down. Anyway, I feel like they'll award anyone tonight who acknowledged them so... Jessica Chastain? And idk who else. These really have the potential to be unpredictable and all over the place.

The Golden Globes has always been a giant scam.

Nikki Finke called it years ago when she pointed out that 1) members of the hollywood foreign press accept bribes, 2) they aren't required to actually watch anything before voting and 3) there's a reason the GG nominations and winners NEVER line up with the other big awards like Oscars, Emmys, etc

Sounds shady but oh well ... let's see Gaga get another GG chile.

Yeah I remember there were jokes at the actual Globes telecast when Angelina and Johhny Deep were nominated for The Tourist back in 2011. Everyone knew lots of the nominations were about getting celebrities to attend. But lots of the others awards shows are a joke, there have been controversies over the Oscars and Baftas nominating so many white people. I think the shows serve a purpose at getting publicity for movies that are not really at widely known, but the voting bodies are full of old white men who don't represent a lot of society.

Best Actress is a bloodbath this year (still salty about JHud getting snubbed).

I have:

  1. Kristen Stewart (Spencer)
  2. Nicole Kidman (Being The Ricardos)
  3. Gaga (HoG)

Really hoping Ms Stewart pulls through, I need her Oscar campaign to continue demolishing :jonny5:Spencer was one of the best movies I've seen in recent years and she was phenomenal.

I’m so glad award shows are dying off.

There are too many overlooked actors and musicians in the industry that get paid to dust over big celebrity names.

….but I will be on Twitter with baited breath tonight
