The first Omicron case to be active in the community spent four hours at a nightclub in central Auckland, as well as at another bar, jewellers, and two restaurants.

A person infected with the new variant was a recent international arrival who returned a positive result on day 9 of their self-isolation period, the Ministry of Health confirmed.

They were in Auckland CBD on December 26 and 27, and visited the Impala nightclub.

I don't get how they tested positive and then managed to be out and about. The managed isolation facilities have the army posted outdoors. God help us. :shakeno:

Oh I just remembered the managed isolation periods were shortened from 14 days to 7 days. Gawd that'll be why.

The least surprising thing, but he sure loved going out to bars and restaurants during his isolation.

  • Impala, December 26-27, 11pm-3am
  • Commercial Bay Precinct, December 26, 2.30-4.30pm and 6.30-8pm
  • Sunny Town restaurant, December 26, 2.30-4.30pm
  • Partridge Jewellers, Queen St, December 26, 3.30-6pm
  • Ahi Restaurant, December 26, 6.30-8pm
  • Soul Bar, December 26-27, 9.30pm-3am

He was scheduled to do a DJ set at Rhythm & Alps near Wanaka

So I guess it wasn't too difficult to figure who it was after they cancelled.

So that DJ Dimension dude was supposed to be isolating knowing he was infected and yet he still toured clubs? Destroy his life honestly :deadbanana2:

He should be prosecuted and in prison for this, he has knowingly put countless lives in danger and will be responsible for so many deaths. How can someone be so selfish?
