Ewan Chaos Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Have Mercy, Secrets (Your Fire), and Better Than That are easily my top 3 of your HMs! This is actually a great first update babes Busy, Breadwinner, Sister Ray, Over This, and Montero are great.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Jealousy Jealousy is one of the best tracks from album The Beach entire BW is a masterpiece Sister Ray pop perfection yas @ Big stanning
Kinich Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I really love Busy, Erika did that! Unfortunately breadwinner's lyrics are too funny to take it seriously. Sister Ray literally obliterated all of the songs on that Foxes' EP. Flying On Faith huh, that's a very bold pick for Chungha! Over This! is one of the highlights in TP, great pick!
Sunderland 4ever Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Over This! and breadwinner. Loving the Slayyyter appreciation in these YECDs.
Remmy Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Have Mercy and Future Starts Now Secrets (YF), Sexy Villain, Saigon aww I wish those made it. Really great songs. I've said it a few times now but I don't really get why breadwinner is one of the main s-c tracks everyone seems to love the most. The Path Sister Ray ahhh Also these graphics are still really cute, and don't feel ashamed for appreciating basic pop!
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 Busy, breadwinner, Everytime I Cry, The Path, Flying on Faith, CMBYN, Throw It Away so many bops!
Hug Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 YAS Big, luv that bop. Also luv Kacey, Chung ha, and Slayyyter even if those songs don't align with my tastes exactly <3 Supporting Lil Nas X from a distance I'm afraid.
Staryu Posted December 17, 2021 Author Posted December 17, 2021 I saw 18 new movies this year, this is my ranking of them 18. Cinderella I watched it to make fun of it, wasn't even so bad it was good, it was just a cliched unoriginal mess. D- 17. Spiral Boring. D 16. Malignant I know this movie was polarizing, I really wanted to love but It just wasn't for me, it had moments but the twist was laughable and the movie was just too messy in a bad way overall. C- 15. Those Who Wish Me Dead I only watched this b/c it was free on HBO Max and it had Angelina Jolie, it was okay. C 14. The Conjuring 3 It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very scary, and it was my least fave of the 3 main Conjuring movies. C 13. Spencer Hmmm this movie felt like a horror movie at times, idk if it was intentional or not? Maybe b/c Diana was in Hell and they were trying to put us in her frame of mind? IDK but it was kinda off-putting at times. Kristen had a bold performance, she was a little intense at times and I didn't always feel Diana's warmth at times, but was pretty good overall. B- 12. Black Widow Florence Pugh did that! Can't wait to see more of her in the MCU. B- 11. Mortal Kombat I thought it was mindless fun I guess, the new created character was not needed and it was kinda dumb they did not have the tournament in this movie B- 10. Halloween Kills I'm a big slasher fan, see my avi, this was not a great movie but it was a fun Halloween watch, I wish Kyle Richards died in it, would have been more fun! B- 9. A Quiet Place Part 2 Kind of reductive tbh but I love suspense so I had a mostly good time. B 8. The Suicide Squad It was much more cohesive than the original/first movie, I enjoyed the action, vulgarity, and Margot. B 7. Jungle Cruise I'm a sucker for these Disney ride movies, this is just a summer popcorn movie, just an easy/fun watch, Emily Blunt, jungle shenanigans. B+ 6. Raya & the Last Dragon It was a little predictable but it had gorgeous animation. A- 5. The Mitchells vs the Machines Uniquely animated, slightly relatable family drama, good characters, fun movie, highly recommend! A- 4. Shang Chi & the Legend of the 10 Rings Simu Liu and Awkwafina are a really fun duo, loved the action, the diversity being brought into the MCU, and the fight choreography was amazing. A- 3. Luca I thought this movie was so touching, it made me happy and sad, I really liked the story and the characters and the Italian setting was beautiful. gAy 2. Cruella I really loved how they created Cruella's origin story and the way they re-wrote her puppy murdering history into something a little less traumatic. I loved the soundtrack, both Emmas were amazing, the costume designers did that, and this is the only movie on this list I watched twice. A 1. Dune I know this was basically just like a set-up movie but something about it really sucked me in, the atmosphere, the music, the setting, it was all very intriguing to me, I've never seen or read the original so I went into this knowing nothing at all, I was surprised Zendaya was in it so little, but I can't wait for part 2.
