Lorde: so underwhelming ffff, about 4 cute songs

Lil Nas X: surprised this was so acclaimed, again about 4 cute songs

NCT Dream: such a bad year for them when they delivered bop after bop last year

Tommy Genesis: HUGE step down from her last album which I liked quite a lot :/

ITZY: they fell off hard since Wannabe, at least Twenty was boppy!

Iggy Azalea: I Am The Strip Club kinda grew hdfghsd

Drake: unpopular opinion but I like the album cover nnn

Maroon 5: surprised that the HER collab was genuinely good! but also the only half decent song on the album

 

 

 

there wasn't necessarily a cut off for worst/best but I figure anything in the bottom quarter of my list should be considered worst of the year, the albums in the 90s and 80s range are that much better tho

The SOMI album was fun but I admired that you actually had the courage to listen to some of these albums.

You can't pay me to listen to a Maroon 5 or Anne-Marie album!

Can't say I disagree with a lot of these. Lorde/Sufjan I enjoyed but I also see why they're a bit on the disappointing side.

Thank god Lana is there.

Solar Power and Blue Banisters were... fine, but didn't leave much of an impression

Maisie's Psycho was cute but couldn't be bothered with the whole thing after hearing a couple tracks

Never listened to M5, ID, or Ed, but I believe that they're bad, although Overpass Graffiti is cute!

Solar Power deserved to be LAST. Lil Nas’ album aged like milk  Haven’t gone back to that since it’s release week (bar the singles)

Never been a fan of LNX but I went through Montero snippets on release week and yeah, the album definitely seems overhyped as hell. = wasn't that bad but I'm not an Ed stan or anything so oh well, let him rot at the bottom  JORDI, Donda & Nobody Is Listening whew they're really a waste of time for the most part. I didn't love FLOWERS for VASES but 3.9 is so low... Dawn of Chromatica was better than I expected honestly nnn. Mercury Act 1... ID are really sabotaging themselves for some reason. Blue Banisters, Optimist, End of an Era, Music of the Spheres could've been better yup. Solar Power is overhated! (But easily her weakest thus far)

Anne-Marie's album wasn't as bad as I expected tbh, but the whole "use my album for therapy" schtick was so cringe 

 

No idea what Maroon 5's or Coldplay's albums sounded like but I have no doubt in my mind that those placements are more than deserved

Can't say I disagree with any of these even if I enjoy some partially, but damn the Harlecore panning is rough. Had quite expectations for Coldplay album and Crooked Machine so yeah those were disappointing.

I was scared you lost some big chunks of taste after the updates on last page, but seeing Somi, ITZY, CL and Stray Kids being PANNED brought you back on track
