Sunderland 4ever Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 18 hours ago, TheWayWeWere said: 139 Kylie Minogue | Dance Floor Darling 137 Garbage | No Gods No Masters Damn. Those are the only one I've heard of. Your graphics keep serving.
Staryu Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 Tori Amos her album was alright, I gave her a few streams b/c she is a local girl to me, she grew up in the city next to me and my nan lives in her old neighborhood, so I feel a little connection.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 14, 2021 Author Posted December 14, 2021 hihi TOP 50 ALBUMS 46 Will Young | Crying on the Bathroom Floor "Give me your disrespect, give me your pain and loneliness" Will Young covering female artists with his angelic voice and production by Richard X sounds like a great idea. Product in the end is a bit compressed version of what I expected, just 10 tracks and some of them aren't even good. He kinda butchered Indestructible and I Follow Rivers, but more upbeat/dancey tracks are the one who winning there - we need more of that in the future. highlights: Crying on the Bathroom Floor, Daniel, Elizabeth Taylor 45 Kanye West | Donda "Too many pills, so much potions, so much pain, too many emotions" You know, before writing this and picking up my favorites from Donda, I relistened Runaway and understood that it feels like lifetime since he released actually great work. I'm not telling that Donda or couple of his previous albums are bad or something, they're good in some way, you know, production, conception - there's no denying that he is a great songwriter and producer, but there's no songs that can hit the same as Runaway, Monster, All of the Lights or even Yeezus songs. There's not many points to return. Donda had its moments. It's long and epic drama about hope, love, reinvention. It's obviously his best work since Yeezus, most diverse, most interesting both sonically and lyrically since then. Too long for me, but welp, if I was his fan, I would've been happy. I know Kanye went through a lot of sh!t, some of it was created by him own, and I really hope Donda is his road to make magic again. highlights: Hurricane, Jail, Come to Life, Believe What I Say, Jesus Lord TOP 150 SINGLES 136 Olivia Rodrigo | drivers license "Guess you didn't mean what you wrote in that song about me" I ADORE all these random discoveries on ATRL :skull: I played this song first time never expecting something spectacular at all, since she's .. you know, random disney/teen celebrity, but this is actually good! Yeah, very Lorde-ish, but I don't see it as a bad thing. It's beautiful, effective and fresh! I kinda get tired of it fast, but listening it now - it didn't aged at all. Ending still gets me every time 135 Katy Perry | Electric "If you believe it then you can" Even though it never reaches highs of its spiritual sister, Never Really Over, this is pretty good - very anthemic and euphoric pop perfection! And sis looks amazing after having a baby, I must admit! Also, Katy Hudson cameo in music video 134 Joel Corry, RAYE, David Guetta | BED "I got a bed, but I'd rather be in yours tonight" Another bop from RAYE, a bit too generic in my opinion, but who said it's a bad thing? She got a big hit and to be honest you just can't get enough of this melody and chorus for a long time after first listen 133 Martin Garrix, Tove Lo | Pressure "Tension just feels so thick in the room" I just came to a thought that Tove just can't do something wrong, like ... there's no actually bad songs in her discography? Amazing dark electric bop, I would've love something like that on her next record. Should've been longer though. 132 MØ | Kindness "If I'm lost in the darknеss I'm sure that you will come search for me" Even on the weakest single from upcoming record, MØ still made some points. Lyrics are a bit too fillerish, but lord, I'm in love with instrumental and production. It's so simple, yet striking. And I actually love entire message as 'thank u' to the fans who supported her through career. 131 Jennifer Lopez | In The Morning "Your sweet little white lies leave a bad taste in my mouth" What a perfect soundtrack for Bennifer comeback Welp, we're almost 8 years without album from her, even though her droplets are enough to make at least two of them Great pop song, probably one of my favorite english releases from her in a long time. Beautiful production with both pop and acoustic guitar sound. 130 Madison Beer | BOYSHIT "You're always coming back but your love's poison" One of few times when I actually felt her energy through the song, aggressive pop bop, I don't really like symphonic parts, because.. just imagine it in Olivia's Brutal production :jonny: a dream! Dancefloor Darling absolutely classic On 12/14/2021 at 2:21 AM, KasioKas said: FIRST of all, these visuals are TERRIFIC! And I disagree because this album wasn't supposed to take such highs, it ranked higher for me because she took a left field approach of tackling this on a xmas album thats supposed to be jolly and made it relatable to to others going through heartbreak during this time to reach a wider audience, instead of bathing if high vocal pop breakup songs that most would retire too.. Wish she added coffee too! It's a cute EP but didn't hit me tbh, not suprised by this rank. yeah, I think you're right, but I talked more about some lashing/draggins, not heartbreaking ballads On 12/14/2021 at 2:19 AM, gagacasanova said: Demeanor On 12/14/2021 at 2:17 AM, Achilles. said: Cover Me In Sunshine is… cute. K$Ellie Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Donda wasn't particularly good but also nowhere near as bad as I thought, if you cut it down to 10 songs it would be a decent album drivers lisence and Boyshit was cute songs
Tom Vercetti Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Really surprised by the donda appearance ngl. Critics panned it but I have a differing opinion from them. Nice highlights too.
Ewan Chaos Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 I'm just so over post-2016 Kanye at this point. I get that everyone loves it/why but fucking hell I don't have the damn time to listen to an album that long and try to act like I'm paying attention I think we have the same highlights tho, maybe outside of Jail.
