D/X Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Mirror is an absolute BOP! I loved the disco sound.
Tinashegrande6 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Baila Conmigo is really enjoyable and I normally don't like Selena's music ddd 24 hours, Altar, SYT and Need to Know oh wow
Tinashegrande6 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Omg this update is amazing! Mirror surprised me in a good way! Hopefully her album is on the way soon. Bunny is a rider, A Second to Midnight, Jealous and TIA Meet me at our spot is probably the only Willow song I enjoy nn
Alex Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 BANG and In The Meantime were both really cute
Lazuli Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 mirror and bunny are cute but i find them kinda disappointing! wildflower wildfire is my favourite of the tringle nn therefore i am
TheWayWeWere Posted December 22, 2021 Author Posted December 22, 2021 TOP 50 ALBUMS 30 WILLOW | lately i feel EVERYTHING "Life's a movie and it sucks, but I can't stop watching" What I love about Willow is that despite getting early success (almost 10 years before) with silly bop 'Whip My Hair', she finds her sound and image over the year, she experiments with her music, risks, not being afraid of being misunderstood, which only shows how talanted and creative she is. 'lately i feel EVERYTHING' is her latest project and I find this as her best one, I loved some of her songs before, but never get into full project before, with new alternative/punk/rock sound she feels so organic and natural. I love the anger, emotions, it's just so good to see her getting a life and fun. It's not getting reductive even though you feel inspirations from early 00s punk acts, it's still stands as her personal work of art. And the fact that entire record was produced by her & her boyfriend. highlights: naïve, XTRA, Gaslight, ¡BREAKOUT! 29 Lady Gaga | Dawn of Chromatica "I look through the mirror, I don't see my face" Okay, this is the blueprint for remixes albums tbh. I liked her previous remix compilations, but mostly because they're just included some good remixes for my favorites. On Dawn of Chromatica Gaga (Bloodpop, actually) goes further to make collaborative effort with big variety of producers/singers to reimagine already great dance-pop record. It's not about making fun dance bops for couple plays in the club, it's about finding new sound for already known songs. And result is freaking amazing. The fact the album itself was a big dedication to club scene and remix album now goes even deeper. highlights: Babylon (Bree Runway & Jimmy Edgar), Free Woman (Rina Sawayama & Clarence Clarity), 911 (Charli XCX & A. G. Cook), Plastic Doll (Ashnikko) TOP 150 SINGLES 80 Dawn Richard | Jacuzzi "So won't you drip like me?" Okay, this beat is HOT I love how it blends both her experimental side and modern r&b, while stays such a smooth banger But I kinda get tired of it too fast tbh 79 ELIO, Charli XCX | CHARGER (Charli XCX Rework) "I'm three precent away from being stranded" Thank u Godli XCX for discovering this pop perfection for me I mean, original song already seems to be perfect, but Charli just put few spoons of her magic and made it even better. This is such a great mash of PC Music/hyperpop with tradional pop music 78 P.J. Harding, Noah Cyrus | Dear August "Looking for someone to save me" Continuation of 'July' I never knew I needed in my life Beautiful country/acoustic ballad about hope and better times despite depression and darkness. Amazing chemistry between vocalists, folk sound, great songwriting. I just love how organic it feels and how they're both complimenting each other with their voices. 77 BAYNK, Tinashe | Esther "I won't come unless the sun's not up" As I already stated, Tinashe is perfect for dance music, but unlike more generic bops like Lean on Me or Love Line, Esther goes further into house/electronic roots and result is pretty amazing, bouncy, flirty tune. Bassline is just inescapable We need full-length electronic project, Nashe! 76 Mabel | Let Them Know "All my girls feel the bass line" I think we all needs to accept Mabel isn't going back to her alt/indie pop roots, and I'm actually okay with that if she's going to release quality bops (High Expectations was not IT). But her comeback this year is fucking amazing actually, she decided to give the gays everything they want and released this club banger It's so chic, fun, RuPaul 90s inspired and catchy as hell. The fact that SG Lewis, RAYE and MNEK had hands on this song I hate that this flopped, this is probably her best song in years. 75 Tove Styrke | Start Walking "I ain't scared of feelin' loneliness" I know disco became a bit tired trend, but it still could be fresh and fun, this one takes us to ABBA-esque sound, both with striking melody and catchy hook, pure pop gold with some sad lyrics, which is basically my favorite combination. PS: she needs to release version with saxophone from live performance, NOW! 74 HAIM, Taylor Swift | Gasoline "You say you wanna go slower but I wanna go faster" This was already among my favorites from the masterpiece Women In Music Pt. III, so Tayor Swift remix was welcome Basically in the end it's great example of great reimagination of an already great track, Taylor shines on her part, but the real star remains the song itself along with HAIM's melancholic delivery. Mirror, Bunny, Therefore I Am are all growers Thought they were alright/cute at first and then one day they just clicked. DIdn't care for the Starstruck remix (love the original) OR A Second to Midnight I'm starting to realize that maybe I'm just not into Kylie aside from a handful of songs nnn. I hyped it myself too, first two singles were so good, can't believe she waster opportunity to go full indie mode 18 hours ago, witness1.3 said: Bang was so good, and I thoroughly enjoyed In The Meantime too. TalkThatRihanna Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Dawn of Chromatica was a great remix album indeed! Nnn I forgot Mabel tried to have her DSN moment
Achilles. Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 I liked Willow’s single but haven’t checked the album yet. Is it good? Gasoline… I listened to that… once. I really wish that she’d remixed The Steps instead.
Tinashegrande6 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Let them know was a bop, the lyrics are a whole mess though
KasioKas Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Never rlly connected with Mabel, music seems to generic with no personality. Maybe i'll check out her new stuff

D/X Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 Gasoline was kinda cute, but I still can't get into this vibe that HAIM has been delivering over the past few years. :(

Born to Run Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 On 12/22/2021 at 3:31 AM, TheWayWeWere said: 31 Alessia Cara | In the Meantime "So much harder to be honest with yourself at 20-something" I never get the point how Alessia got a bunch of hits back then, since I never get into her work before, but I randomly saw Shapeshifter video on YT, and omg it was a serve, both musically and visually. In the Meantime were a bit underwhelming after Shapeshifter/Sweet Dream, a bit fillerish, sometimes generic and not cohesive, but it's surely her best album yet, with some of her best lyrics, a bit conceptional and interesting. Sometimes it's a bit repetitive, I think she should go more into alt-pop route tbh, but it's a nice shift from her usual persona. highlights: Box In The Ocean, Fishbowl, Sweet Dream, Apartment Song Legend
Lazuli Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 chromatica remix will probably be the only remix album i'll ever use nn gasoline it was my favourite on the album and taylor's involvement blew my mind
