I wrote something and decided I can not really take it anywhere without it turning into a forced, stale, cringey mess of a bad writer's block breakthrough attempt.

I have decided to take a new approach to songwriting where there are no verses or choruses and there are also no rhymes.

Come through, you genre-bending king! :cm:

Don't fight, just ride

The rhythm of the tide
We swirl, we spin
Salted, sun-kissed skin
We float together
Whatever weather
Embrace the breeze and sail away smoothly

O boy I'm almost done. I don't think I'll be sending it to anyone for critiques because I don't think I'd be strong enough to take it :cm:

Lemme just ignore Temporal to Busan and say that despite how heavy in metaphor my song is, it's the most (well...only) personal song I've done this season. I will be explaining it in my PM though that's for sure.

He let the madness in

The haze of mental twilight

Didn’t let his heart be free''

I think this entry has more standout lyrics than last week (but I really wouldn't say 'Big Brother' had ANY standout lyrics), but I can't really say for sure how they will compare in terms of what judges think!

The judges and I all agree that Candle was hardly even a song!

but does that make it worse than a "political" song being even more vague with its politics than chained to the rhythm is?

I wasn't trying to send a message or express a viewpoint with Big Brother. It's more like a politcally-themed horror story.

Also, I do not get ATRL's obsession with...being blunt. It's not hard to read between the lines in Chained to the Rhythm.
