It went gold back in 2016, so it must be really close!

I finally updated the OP - there were some mistakes but should all be correct now.

Also, I added some eras: High Expectations and Always In Between.

Why combine albums and singles when the units from the singles are added up to the albums totals :rip:

You are counting the same units twice.

Beyonce is kinda one of the biggest legends of all time. Not only is the most ACCLAIMED female of the 21st century and most celebrated ENTERTAINER she still has a DECADE of unbeatable GLOBAL stats that she can always throw around just to remind people who tf she is.  :jonny5: The Michael Jordan of Music. You are counting the same units twice.

Units from songs counts for less on the album’s total. And the methodology  of singles is way different than that of albums.

If they were just added to albums then why the official charts themselves give different certifications for singles and albums separately?  :rip:

Following your logic,  only albums certifications should exist.

But to be honest, I don’t agree with combining them either but the OP says " highest certified" without specifying if it’s a single or album  so the certifications from both should be counted.

In general, the best way to do it is to have two different threads, one for albums and one for singles or to just separate them in the same thread with two different rankings.

I-

Honey, thats how it works since the streaming era started. It works like that pretty much everywhere in the world. Do some research on SEA and TEA units that Billboard uses.

I literally know how to estimate album sales myself lol you're the last one to teach me that. My point is that both methodologies are not interchangeable. Meaning they factor streams and single sales ( SEA AND TEA) to include them to albums so both are very different it's not like they add the real number of streams or sales from singles to an album like that. Or else there wouldn't be both album certifications and singles certifications. OP says " Highest certified era" meaning it's correct to count every certification.

Also why you choose to ignore the fact that I, myself, do not agree with combining them in the same total? I think they still need both to be ranked but separately. Both are important and there are big singles that are stand-alone without albums.

Adding album and singles certifications is a completely non-sense which brings weird results like having Dua Lipa with 2xplatinum above albums with 13 platinum es, especially when álbum certifications already include singles sales and streams
