I like his latest album a lot, but he does nothing else for me. And for what it’s worth I don’t actually care about Summer Walker’s opinions (or any artists’). The celebrations in here prove to me though that people aren’t acting in good faith when they criticize problematic behaviour. They cling to issues of artists they already dislike and turn a blind eye whenever it’s not convenient. It’s performative and transparent.

Kudos to Summer though
family.guy123 Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 basically my point is i've been called a racist for celebrating dangerous' chart run. that's fine, free speech or whatever. I just want the same treatment for Summer Walker supporters (I just googled it and apparently she's not only anti-vaxx but also a racist and malnourishes her baby?) as well as fans of lana (who i do stan), travis scott, nicki, amy, etc...
Blackout2006 Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 I never thought I'd see her do such big numbers someone tell me quick if this album is worth checking outalso, oh wow for ABBA

Glad I am part of the streaming and the sales for this wonderful album! Which ''fraud sales'' album blocked Over It from debuting at #1 ? I'm curious lol...

Planet Mars Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Who bought the ABBA album? Happy for Summer, I need all the R&B girls to pull through like Summer and SZA, the gays have been without our mainstream R&B girls for too long

brainmaniac Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Wasn’t Summer cancelled a few times for being racist to Asians and anti vax among other things Guess that shows that cancel culture doesn’t exist if she can still pull big numbers despite all that

Bey_Rihstan Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 ddjdslj The way Summer refuses to promote traditionally and still slays like this

Whats funny is users are using the same small minded approach they accuse you and others of in the process proving other points... Weekly there's a meltdown about Morgan. He has the #1 album of the year. Deal with it. There’ll never be the same treatment as people in general cherry pick outrage which is why it shouldn't be taken seriously. But good for summer getting a hit album without a hit leading up to the release.

I think it's cherry picked. She's not the first problematic artist to get a pass. 7 hours ago, Communion said: It never existed because "cancel culture" for being racist, sexist, homophobic can't be a thing in a society where all of these forms of bigotry are literally systemic and built into and normalized in nearly every institution, but you're focused on a black woman making niche r&b music while racist white men are about to give one of their own the #1 album of 2021 for using racial slurs. The stereotype (the first ones pointing the finger)...you don't know the demographic of Morgan stans and from the beginning of time racists have supported different types of artists especially knowing who got top dollar as true owners of content behind the scenes so that take is quite fuzzy. Pivoting and deflecting to Morgan isn't going to change how problematic the “niche r&b” artist is but it's good both will have #1 albums surpassing expectations which proves you can be problematic on both sides and still succeed if the music is good...its just who gets targeted consistently is cherry picked. No same energy

Wait I didn't know this. All these people dragging Carrie Underwood just for liking a tweet better show the same energy to Summer then
