I adjust my estimated streaming numbers based on the top 50 Streaming Chart that Billboard provides us and the couple of songs where we get actual numbers from. And then for the new week I just adjust that number based on the percentage change a song has on Youtube and Spotify. So I don't start the numbers completely new each week. For a new song I use Spotify * 2 for Urban songs and Spotify * 1.5 for non Urban to estimate Apple Music.

Michael21 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Don't you think that I'm the One will be competition for Despacito? They seem pretty equal to me

Or the original is combined there too?
SlayMeQueen Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 (edited) Miley will go top 5 on next week's chart. She has a chance at coming for the #1 position if she can keep these massive streams/sales up. Edited May 14, 2017 by SlayMeQueen

That's really pathetic for an album that spent 13 weeks at number 1. Do you know what it's SPS total is?

However, at the rate Drake is releasing his albums, I think only one of them has actually reached two million in raw sales. Cause he's a stream queen who is grossly over flattered by Billboards formula. he could never hit 2 million even before streaming took a big hold. When he had to compete on a level playing field. Now he puts out all kinds of low quality tracks every year to rake in easy coins. Quantity over quality. And that Drake obsessed stan need not quote me with more personal remarks either.

And that Drake obsessed stan need not quote me with more personal remarks either. TML sold 1.8m, TC 2.3m, NWTS 1.7m and Views 1.6m. So yes, he hit 2m way before streaming took a hold. He's been consistent in pure sales (if this were a pop girl's run, ATRL would be praising high heavens - instead you get people patting the backs of acts like Gaga for being able to scan gold or Selena matching around 300k; just an example). On top of that all his albums besides maybe TML are consistently streamed. So this forced harshness over "playing level field" and such is truly exaggerated / straight up false. And people aren't obligated to support his endeavors. His output is in line with the demand. Edited May 14, 2017 by Rico Shameless v2
