It's also increasing on radio. Youtube isn't updating tho YouTube data for a given day only becomes available two days later. That's normal.

Rentboy Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Praying for some new songs to come out of nowhere and snatch #1. Just like the Bieber adjacent songs did. But hopefully good songs this time.

TWIL radio ate just too much. Mars AI totals are up to 230 M. While that may not seem that impressive compared to SOY's 250 M, keep in mind Closer never broke the 200 M mark, and that was a monster hit.

But did Feeling gain in points last week too? Down gained in points going into week 53, but had lost points going into week 52. I just highly doubt BB will do this for Feeling when BB wouldn't for Down. Even if Down was removed just because of Thrills, BB is creating a double standard that for which CS fans will confront BB. If Feeling did gain going into week 52, it has a chance. However, JT didn't have a bullet this past week.

A song mustn't fall on chart to stay after 25/52 weeks. That's my perception tho edit: i quoted the wrong reply I also think BB treats songs that are still climbing different from those well past their peak. I remember Muse's Madness, below #50, gained going into week 25. Then Muse lost points going into what would have been week 26. Then, Muse gained points the next week, still under 50, and BB let the song reenter. Madness peaked in the 40s thanks to some mainstream airplay, but not enough to reach the Top 40. In contrast, The Sound Of Silence actually gained points in its 21st week, but BB still moved it into RC. The same thing happened on the Hot Rock Songs Chart. TSOS gained going into week 53. But because it was below #5 (the Rock Songs cutoff for staying on past 52 weeks), BB also shifted TSOS over to RC. TSOS actually had consecutive weeks of growth on several occasions, but BB never allowed TSOS to reenter either chart. In fact, this past week was the first week TSOS lost in both streaming and sales in the same tracking period. And yes, I edited your post to say 25/52. That's the actual rule, though I wouldn't put it past BB to change the rule to 20/52, and also 40/20, starting with the 2018 CY. The first few weeks after BB changed to SS & BDS on 30 Nov 91, BB actually set the RC rule at 20/20. That cost BB a lot of grief. After about three months, BB changed the rule to 40/20, and soon after that BB changed it to 50/20. BB's idea behind 50/20 was to leave the T 50 alone. However, that changed with 25/52 at the start of the 2016 CY.

When it comes to JT, BB will change their rules for him just like when they added tour gross to the BB artist of the year formula in 2014 so Justin would take it.

Euan Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Come on Justin. Replace yourself at #1. Not here for that trash, quick lil single Bruno Mars released rebounding to the top.

Rentboy Posted May 11, 2017 Posted May 11, 2017 Not sure either effort required much "talent" from Bieber as neither are his own efforts. More like he hopped on the talents of others. His name did the rest.

So Feeling moved up a position but nonetheless still lost points. I may be wrong here, but I'm saying BB makes JT a RC. We'll find out on Tuesday I guess, unless someone can convince Gary to give out Feeling's status Monday.

I know UF, BS, TOL, and SYA and were well over 400 points in early-mid 2015. But they weren't in the T5 all at once. What were the max points for Closer?
