Would that be a record? I don't think Miley can do it though.
GokuRed Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Exciting charts Hope XO can repeak. I really thought it would hit #1 a month ago

Cyanide Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Has anyone thought about what this would've done without Migos?

He could have had 6! But still 5 in less than 2 years is almost unheard of. I think Katy and Rihanna were the last to do so. I believe Rihanna had 6 in less than two years with Rude Boy, Love The Way You Lie, Only Girl (In The World), What's My Name?, S&M, and We Found Love. And I know Katy had 6 in less than 2 years with California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Firework, E.T., Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), and Part Of Me. Yeah, Justin is doing what Katy & Rihanna did, Katy & Rihanna got 6 number #1 in less than 2 years, Rihanna did it faster than Katy during 2010-2011 with Rude Boy, Love The Way You Lie, What's My Name?, Only Girl, S&M (Remix) & We Found Love Edited May 9, 2017 by Capruni

Would that be a record? I don't think Miley can do it though. It would be a record for the SoundScan era. I really don't want this to happen, as the charts in the latter half of the 1980s weren't really accurate anyway. The change in chart tempo from 23 to 30 November 1991 and since that week show a huge difference between what radio and retail reported, and what radio and retail actually played and sold. There was some slowing down in late 1989-23 Nov 91, as BB tried to give a more accurate picture on the sales side. Had I Will Always Love You been released before the SS era (as was Adams super smash) Houston would've probably had 8-9 weeks at #1.
