What an iconic era. Baby Jane served something no other pop girl has served in the last two decades.

Now update certifications for Stripped and CA.

Happy 15 years anniversary :heart2:

The album was so expensive, took me 2 weeks to bought it.

her best visual and vocal era

Yes! I remember it took me some time to buy this record, at least the booklet worth it, the paper is top quality and full of pics and with lyrics.

Is it 5 millions worldwide?

anyway, we all agree it was tragic it didn’t get double album certification when you were actually paying for 2 albums price for just  missing one extra song.

No way this is just 2x platinum.

It goes to show you how she really didn't succeed in the digital era as well as the streaming era

BTB is at 1.9M in Pure Sales. The fact that this is only 2x Platinum just shows how weak her digital/streaming numbers are

She was 25 years old doing old school music. For reference, that was the age Ariana did Sweetener, Taylor 1989, Dua Future Nostalgia, etc. Obviously it wasn't going to be as big with a young audience at the time. It wasn't commercial like Promiscuous, London Bridge, and other music that was smashing those years. Obviously there was some modernization on B2B, but the style hasn't been popular in decades. Uptown Funkish was the closest we got but even that was more modern produced and wasn't able to kick off an old school music wave.

but there were 2 cds, how come it wasn't looked upon as a double disc? not enough minutes?

anyway, that sound really is unique since the closest we got to it in mainstream was ari's beginnings? (which sucks)

slow down baby, oh mother & without you their power :clap3:

Because the length of the album is not enough.

Multi-disc albums are counted once for each disc within the album if it is over 100 minutes in length

Back to Basics: 78 minutes

What are you even talking about? Britney released Blackout, then Circus which both sold less than Back to Basics. This album did well given that it was a double disc and never gets discounted, and X wasn't making pop-radio ready music. There were definitely more single-worthy songs on the album, which she opted not to use.

Finally RIAA updated some certifications from the first era. I hoped that the album would become diamond. Is it near?
