That’s a touch confusing, as BTS is typically distributed outside of South Korea by Sony Music / The Orchard. However, UMG partners with Big Hit / HYBE on the band’s Japanese-language output. Selling 1 million albums at $20 a pop and breaking streaming and single sales records in Japan did that. ATRL told me Olivia was the moment.
