Littlejfrey Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 For the first time, I’m actually not scared of being eliminated. Not because I think my photo is the best or something like that, but because if I go home, I’ll know it was in a strong round and with strong competition, and what better way of being eliminated, knowing that the overall quality was so good? We are all winners, let’s keep it cute
Thanatos Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Thank you Adut. Your words cheered me up a bit. I appreciate all kind of feedback, but there are some shady things going on and I‘m glad that my fellow models are also seeing it. I can imagine who Ebonee is talking about

Not Like The Movies Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 I’m not giving names but all I’ll say is that based on the catalogues of photos so far, to me there is a clear weak link. The user is great but the chosen model compared to other girls is just not up to par.

And this is why I think that it is better for future seasons to be exclusively about celebrities or exclusively about professional models, but not mixed. Because ultimately, professional models will always have “good” material that compared with a celebrity portafolio, is going to be a lot better. The same with “outstanding” photos from professional models, they will be at an unreachable level for a celebrity portafolio. Of course that there’s going to be exceptions, but it’s not a coincidence that in Jai statistics, the professional models are the ones on the top. And it’s not fair that we are been evaluated under the same perspective because models get to work with the best designers, best photographers, best magazines, etc. While celebrities get a little portion of that. I’m personally ok with that now, the important thing is to have fun. But with comments like this, it makes me feel that it’s pretty obvious that a model will end up winning, and the rest of us has no chance and are shamed if we are getting good feedback, and thats not fair for the other participants. I’m not sure if you’re talking about me or not, but considering the fact that I’m one of the “weaker” participants I thought I should speak up.
PlERRE Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 I'm reading S1 and... How did Kendall managed to get so far in the competition?

I don't really know what the correct response is other than making a Celebrity's version of this. Its a modeling competition so naturally Models will do better; that's usually how that's going to go.

TruGemini Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Producer: Tessa, you have survived yet another week. Key word is survived, how do you feel about coming in the bottom in the Around The World challenge after being in such a good position after The Seven Deadly Sins round? Tessa: Well, it most definitely was unfortunate. I've been holding that photo the entire competition and thought it was lovely, alas, everyone did not and that's fine. I am just happy I am still here. Producer: For this week, the theme was Black and White. How did you feel going into this round? Tessa: I was very mixed on this. While I love the theme, I wasn't confident that I'd be able to deliver how I wanted. I actually submitted three photos for this round. One wasn't eligible, and I decided to change photos at the last minute after feeling like the one I had settled with was too safe. Producer: So what made you drawn to the photo you submitted? Tessa: Honestly, it's just so damn chilling. I am an actress first and foremost, so when I saw black and white as the theme, I jumped to film noir. I did some digging and found the perfect inspiration for the photo in the 1946 classic, The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. I really wanted to encapsulate the feeling of Martha in that film, she was demented and deluded, but also she also had an innocence to her. I did my best to create a more modern day take on this character. Producer: It's been revealed that every model is in someone's top and bottom, thoughts? Tessa: I'm not at all shocked, this competition has evolved a long way from the Nora's and Megan's of the competition. We are all here to play and in a round as broad as this, I am not shocked we all delivered top notch quality. Producer: There has been some...descension among the models on the voting for this week, along with Ebonee making a very direct statement against a mystery model's catalogue. What do you have to say about that? Tessa: You know, I think we all have to understand that our tastes are different and what one might feel is stunning, might not be with the next individual. Someone has to leave, that's the competition. As far Ebonee...I'll be honest in stating that her comments felt directed at me. I'm the model with the most bottom placements still here and I think I can be viewed as undeserving. If she was speaking to me, I have no ill will, I will never tear down another woman in the name of competition. However, I will say that it shows a lot about a models character when they start to drag others into the water as they begin to drown. The judges haven't always loved my entries, and yeah, it doesn't feel great, but I have never felt the compulsion to throw a fit about it. We're supposed to be professionals, lets act as such.

Her portfolio as a model in general is not the most exciting to look at, US Vogue September is the one where she kinda gives some diversity, the rest of her work is very plain.

If that's not your thing that's fine but this would be dry and eventless without it; and I don't see it stopping.
