Just a Gay on ATRL Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 I don’t know if another album will ever top 25’s 2015 numbers. Wow. Over 8M in post 2010 is completely insane and she did that in less than 2 months too! Imagine if she had the majority of the year in the year it was released - she would’ve topped 10M in a single year, which I don’t see on this list at all. It is easy to forget how huge a moment 25 was but that was ****ing legendary. Adele is really that girl.

Oscar Isaac Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Garth Brooks was so ****ing enormous and yet I wouldn’t be able to identify one of his songs at gunpoint and I was alive during that time. A complete cultural blind spot for me and I have no clue why because I distinctly remember every other artist and their music on all of those lists.
Taylena Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Quote 2007 9. Taylor Swift — Taylor Swift: 1,951,000 10. Kanye West — Graduation: 1,892,000 It's very strange how the guy that "made" Taylor is behind her in 2007 and then nowhere to be seen in the following years.

The numbers are incredible, but 25 is at about 9.52M sold total so far, so I don't think it would've sold 10M even with it being released earlier. Releasing late allowed it to finish top two for two years, which is more impressive.
ReachOut Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Hilary being the only ex Disney Channel act with a album not linked to her DC character
slw84 Posted May 31, 2021 Posted May 31, 2021 Britney having the highest consumption number for a female Cardi being the #1 female rap or not in 2018 and the only female rapper ranking top 10. Taylor and Adele taking turns playing monkey in the middle with everyone's tattered wigs. Whitney and Janet showing the girls black girl magic was real in 1993 Mariah debuting on top (female) Celine dominating with her soundtrack and her own album sharing the same classic.
