[More Than A Melody]

All the tracks of ‘Harry Styles’ by Harry Styles now have 100 million streams or more on Spotify

 

 

This is only the second debut album to ever reach this milestone, after ‘When We Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?’ by Billie Eilish.

 

His second album ‘Fine Line’ will likely reach this milestone in the following months as well. 10 out of 12 tracks are already way above the mark, only leaving Canyon Moon (+88 million) and Treat People With Kindness (+78 million) to catch up.

 

Once he accomplishes this, Harry will be the second artist EVER to get all his tracks to 100 million or above (after Billie Eilish) and the only current one.

Not my favorite track being the lowest streamed This album is just as good as Fine Line, I've never understood the lukewarm critical reception to it

So true and yes I remember him debuting it on SNL before the album came out I believe, I wasn't too sold on his solo music because SOTT was kinda polarizing but ESNY really showed me where he was taking his music and anything he's released since has not disappointed.

TASTE. The fact that the song is about finding out his stepfather had terminal cancer makes it so heartbreaking

He didn’t say it was about his stepfather specifically but he said it was about “finding out terrible news about a family member” shortly after he’d passed away. He described that he was in a hotel room in Brooklyn and it was decorated too minimalistic and despite being summer the pool was empty and he could see it from the window. This whole thing was during his Grammy Museum performance. Other fans put together that apparently the only time he’d stayed in a hotel in Brooklyn that we knew of was around the time his stepfather was diagnosed, not sure how true that is but it makes sense. Also the back cover of the album had a Robin bird (his stepdad was called Robin), which looks eerily similar to the tattoo his sister got for Robin.

 

And I really hope it is. He deserves all the success he’s getting
