Peaks for singles mean nothing.

Gaga's singles do better on the year-end charts, just compare the positions.

Gaga:

Poker Face: #1

Just Dance: #3

Bad Romance: #17 & #30

Shallow: #98, #20, #65

Born This Way: #14

Telephone: #15

Rain On Me: #17

Paparazzi: #18

The Edge Of Glory: #27

Alejandro: #40

Britney

...Baby One More Time: #1

Toxic: #9

Womanizer: #33 & #118

Scream & Shout: #78 & #18

Oops!... I Did It Again: #15

Everytime: #18

Born To Make You Happy: #32

Sometimes: #34

Piece Of Me: #47

So suddenly they don’t? Peaks meant something when you were yapping about her having no UK number 1 yet:

OT: Britney is a legend and the other one is an icon I guess so this is a weird comparison. Legends are bigger than icons.

1999-2016 vs 2008-2021

Barely a four year difference :rip:  Britney takes multiple breaks, the other one has been trying to regain her former glory by inserting herself onto random projects every year  :deadbanana4:

OT: The answer is still clearly Britney. Commercially AND culturally :sorry:

And not counting Britney's biggest album and her biggest song, ...Baby One More Time, which is also one of the best selling female singles of all time in the UK!

Gaga has 6 studio albums + a soundtrack

Brit has 9 studio albums:rip:

Britney hasn't had a UK #1 in almost 20 years, 0 #1 albums, no albums on the all time UK charts (even Xtina is there :rip:), last tour bombed in the UK, movie bombed in the UK. She was a glorified singles artist in the UK, successful mostly during the teeny bopper era.

This is only album chart, where Britney and Gaga are close, despite Britney having 10 year lead

Gaga: 4.36M

Britney: 4.40M

When its come to singles
Gaga: 13.2M

Brintey: 8.4M

Gaga overall is bigger, and stats don't lie like Britney stans

Gaga by far, the poll results only show how many ATRLers will delusionally side against Gaga no matter what

Gaga's already bigger than her here and she continues to have projects that are successful here so it's a no-brainer. Britney doesn't even have a #1 album.

Gaga.

Music, film, awards and acclaim. The spectacle of Gaga led to the kind of British obsession and fandom not seen with a pop act since the Spice Girls. Every one was in awe of her when she debuted. A fully formed icon quite literally.

A Star Is Born in the U.K. and Ireland was massive; over £30m in ticket sales and BAFTA recognition. House of Gucci is just round the corner.

Gaga is the bigger icon and that will only become clearer as time goes by. She’ll headline Glastonbury one day.

Also Gaga made more money from her tours in England than Britney. The Born This Way Ball Tour was more profitable with 2 dates than Circus Tour was with 8 dates.
