I got into Fiona Apple in 2012 a few months before Idler Wheel dropped and waited patiently almost eight entire years til we got Fetch the Bolt Cutters. That was actually rly hard as I was a fan actively anticipating new music (though I knew it wouldn’t come before say 2018) :rip: then she rly came out of nowhere and just dropped it and I had waited so long for the moment I couldn’t quite believe it until the leak was downloaded on my laptop.

 

Robyn also made me wait 8 years for Honey in 2018 but she had done that EP in 2014 to bridge the gap a tad.

I think it’s so crazy when artists do this because they really are taking a risk. The way trends, the sound, the music industry, and the music climate changes so quickly. Imagine being big and then taking a long break and coming back and nobody cares :deadbanana2:
