Love when artists do this. It's time to end with the stigma surrounding mental health. :clap3:

Now you鈥檙e just saying anything. Not cute聽

OT: Selena is great at using her voice for good, we love to see it. Mental health is at an all time high especially in schools due to online learning and reduced socialising, but children are always overlooked when it comes to it

She hasn't cleared up cuz surprisingly she doesn't have a documentary till this day buy most likely her parents ran away and lived in poverty they were teen parents聽

It's not being obsessed but talk about something it was never been paid attention enough in the past specially for young generations.聽

thank you for always saying the truth sweetie :clap3:

:clap3:聽Love this!

I would like to add one more: sexism. She's only famous because of her ex the haters claim

She deserves all the admiration people have towards her. She's one of the few celebs that actually put in the work philanthropically and she still has so much compassion after everything she's been through. Only the most humble and honorable聽:clap3:

No :toofunny2:聽They聽were so loud and wrong over what? Fans praising their fav for doing good. Some people just carry negative energy wherever they go聽

I鈥檓 saying you鈥檙e reaching hard. She鈥檚 a multi millionaire now trying to use her platform to spread awareness and y鈥檃ll are in her throwing her a pity party and over exaggerating on her past. She鈥檚 not this damsel in distress character you鈥檙e trying to make her out to be聽

I agree, that was pretty distasteful and unneccessary. You can tell some users in here really seek validation from ATRL of all places :toofunny3:

I'm not making her out to be anything but fans are clearly moved by her philanthropy聽and are reflecting on her journey to be able to launch this foundation. There's really no reason to come in here giving your unnecessary rhetoric聽:coffee2:

that's very great, i feel like every school should have a team of mental health professionals not only to deal with problems that arise but to prevent them. psychology isn't only about treating depression and what not, it's also about training people to develop good skills in life.

鈥淯nnecessary rhetoric鈥澛:loud:聽maybe tell that to the user who openly brings up her trauma anytime she has an achievement or tries to do good. Puts a damper on the message聽

This is great, especially since the pandemic has affected everyone's mental health. Respect. :clap3:

Good for her. America is absolutely in an invisible (depending who you ask) mental health crisis right now across the board, not just in education, but certainly in excess in education. I feel it's getting worse and worse. I reached a point of being nearly suicidal in my junior year of college. So many of friends are struggling too in their adulthoods.

There are 2 things education needs to fix:

1) FIX THE SYMPTOMS AND CAUSES. They see and don't care about the why. The cramming, the all nighters, the stress, the debt/financial burden, the insane standards to uphold to even get into college. And they not only don't fix it, the problems and stress seem to only be getting worse

2) do exactly what she's advocating for and offer more sources

Both of my points are important, but I think #1 needs to be discussed more. We can offer all these resources but we need to get to the root of the problem to really impact.

This is huge. As someone who feels the public school system fails to accommodate towards the learning of mental health awareness, she is such an inspo and the reason why I love/borderline stan her聽
