you would at least expect her in the BAFTA longlist though.

I don't see why, I think only one performance in an Almodovar film has ever gotten a BAFTA nod

I haven’t seen CODA by why hasn’t Emilia once been in conversation (is she bad in it) :rip:

also Penelope has not made one Televised award yet people still are holding out. Is that even possible?

Emilia was phenomenal in CODA. The way I had not heard of her before the movie and the way she made me believe she was actually deaf. 💀 Sis acted, sang, and signed. Her signing facial expressions were so believable.

The movie itself was solid—nothing technically remarkable but full of heart. I can see why it’s in the conversation from an acting standpoint, but not the movie itself.

Hopefully, Penelope, Reinsve or Haim will pull a Charlotte Rampling in the Best Actress lineup, too many biopics ain't good for the category. :deadbanana2:

This, so far the Top 3 from what I seen are: WSS > Dune > TPOTD.

And today I finally watched Spencer and tbh I’m convinced now that Nicole will win, K Stew does a good job but I don’t see an outstanding work here and it shows because she has not swept all the awards, she has being undermined by Nicole, Gaga and Alana; Olivia and Chastain are just there to make noise.
