Thank you for asking this! I'm really glad you did since I feel like this is a general impression that the jury has of me so I wanna be able to clear it all up. I can totally understand why people thought I was a follower, as I've mentioned already, my strategy was not based a lot on orchestrating, although I did get into it more towards the end since I knew I got to a point where my strategy needed to evolve again, I kind of stepped more into the forefront the last 3 tribal councils to further avoid any targeting against me, because with 6 people left, the chances of becoming a target were obviously bigger. Now, every time I "followed" someone, I always made sure it was beneficial for me, I kept my relationships strong and always had in mind what the votes could cause for me in the future, I never voted just to be a number for someone else, all of my votes had a reason and I surely never let anyone manipulate me or anything of the sorts, and if someone ever felt like they manipulated me, then my strategy ended up being smarter because I'm here! The fact that I was also literally never a target was also essential here, I like... never felt the need to orchestrate on my own since no one was against me? Instead I focused on working with people who I believed were gonna be beneficial for me in the long run to make sure I had more people on my side in case I was ever targeted, that's why maybe people could've gotten the impression that around the time the merge started I was following miguel too much maybe? But I was very conscious of his ways with everyone and that's also why I dropped him when I did, because what he wanted to do no longer aligned with what was beneficial for me, he wanted to vote Auburn out and I didn't since he had the other half of the idol I used in Top 5, so I switched my focus to other alliances because you also have to know who to side with.

And to answer the second question, yes there was, I can remember when Jay-Z got voted out, we were voting for Sanguine but I switched my vote last minute because we found out he had an idol and miguel, who was a big ally of mine back then, was at risk and I didn't want him out yet. Just like I said earlier, being able to have the deciding vote in situations like these was a crucial part of my strategy that I don't think anyone else ever thought of, they just campaigned, gathered votes and hoped for the best, I waited, looked at all my options and waited to see if I had the chance of making the TC go as much in my favor as I could. Had I wanted miguel out by then I would've just risked it and kept my vote on Sanguine to let it be a tie between Jay-Z and miguel. Also in the WHTS vote, we didn't vote together, Auburn and I were choosing between CBC and WHTS and ended up going for WHTS since he was closer to Miguel, so I talked to boys and tried to convince him to vote for WHTS since we wanted to take power away from miguel at the final stages, he said he didn't care who went between those 2 and ended up saying he'd vote for WHTS too, but he ended up voting for CBC even though WHTS ended up leaving, I guess because he had a good bond with WHTS and didn't want to vote for him which I completely understand, so that time he went against my plans if that also counts, we didn't always vote together like it might've seemed.

Thanks for your answers. One last thing - the tribal I went home, you said miguel tried to get you to vote for me but you didn't. You didn't tell me this though until after I was voted out. Was it intentional on your part to not warn me that I was receiving votes?

@Auburn Was it really your idea to vote for me the round I got eliminated? I heard it was miguel's idea and you and Dessy were just following his direction. Also, after I was eliminated you said you regretted it a bit. The next round you apparently started targeting miguel. Why the sudden change of heart and can you explain the dissolution of your alliance with Dessy and miguel more?

You are correct, it was not my idea, although the 3 of us had identified you as a target in the past. For that round we decided to either vote for Sanguine or you. I knew that pinknblue had an idol before he quit, so I was suspicious that he gave it to Sanguine, but we weren't sure if he had another from the auction. miguel suggested that me and Dessy add votes for you just in case Sanguine had another idol. This was around the time where I started getting closer to you, and also when I became suspicious of miguel. I discovered that lucky had the second half of the idol half I had, and that miguel knew about it but never told either of us. Right after your elimination I started realizing that it only made sense for him to have the Wakasu idol, which we had been working on together before I found the location empty right after he told me he gave up. Up to this point in the game I had told him everything and been completely honest with him about all of my items and gameplay, so I felt betrayed and also kinda dumb for being so naïve. Had I realized this just one day earlier, I think you would have been spared instead. I decided that I needed to target him before he targeted me, and I knew I could convince people because he was in everyone's pockets. My alliance with Dessy never really dissolved until his elimination, as he told me he was also planning on targeting miguel after Sanguine's elimination. Despite lucky saying we didn't have the votes to get out miguel, I think we could have gotten them. The main reason I backed off was because I basically knew he had that idol. Once he found out about my plan, I had to backtrack because it was too risky since I knew I had votes against myself.

As for our 3-person alliance dissolution, there's not much to explain. The chat hasn't been used once since I targeted miguel that first time :rofl:I will add though that this was the turning point where I really found my footing as a player, and where I became more than just a strong challenge competitor. I started making decisions for myself, and pushing for the things I wanted to happen in the game, rather than following someone else's lead.

No it wasn't intentional at all, I just thought telling you was pointless because I didn't think those would be enough votes for you since you only had 2 :dies: and I didn't even believe Sanguine had a second idol so I thought you'd be good and he would go, I even thought miguel would get more votes than you in case Sanguine actually had an idol :deadbanana: if it had been intentional I wouldn't have told you anything after you got eliminated, so it truly wasn't

I think Miss Lucky didn't want miguel to go yet, so that's why he probably said y'all couldn't get the votes. Whew, the deception! Thanks for your answer.

Okay just answering to this real quick because I saw my name here and I want to answer as much as I can :fan: I very much wanted miguel out that round when Auburn and I started the plotting against him, I even talked to boys and WHTS about it, both of them considered it but then shut me down, Auburn tried to talk to Rotunda and Dessy I think? and well nothing came from that overnight which is why I said we didn't have enough votes, we lich rally didn't :dies: and then the next day miguel found out and the plan never kept going because we were pretty sure he had an idol

Spoiler

So what I gather from the interviews is that Auburn is delusional about his control over the game and Lucky used Boys to do all his dirty work and get him into the final without stress :bibliahh:

@Auburn you were undeniably a great contestant. You had strong entries, won several challenges and survived until top 3 with a target on your back for, well, most of the TCs. My 1st question is about the E S C A P A D E debacle. Do you think it will have any influence on the voting process?

My 2nd question to you is about the top 5 TC. You keep saying I was eliminated by "accident" but that makes absolutely no sense. Literally everybody knew Miguel was gonna play an immunity idol so voting for him was a vote in the trash. Not only that but Lucky only had half of the immunity and needed your half to get the full immunity. So the question is, why do you deserve to win when you literally gave away a free immunity to lucky and saved boys in the process by trashing your vote? Why did you not make a power ***** move and prove to the jury, who is questioning those moves, when you had the chance to?

@boys you seem to be the most well rounded finalist. Great social game, great strategy and a great TC resident host. Do you think the jury will take into account that you never had an idol and reached top 3 like a real man? Did you use lucky as an ally to help you in the TCs with an extra vote? Or were you used as a shield for all of Lucky's power ***** moves? In a previous round you lost a win to lucky when the judges favoured him by letting him get extra time. Are you afraid that history might repeat it self and the juror might favour lucky?

@luckystrike you did very well in the game by winning several challenges and surviving all the TCs with basically no votes but still the jury has been questioning your strength as a player. You've explained that actually you're the one who is behind the power ***** moves that both Auburn and Boys claim to have made but you were so good at it that literally nobody saw it. Now, it seems like boys is getting the credits for your actions. Do you regret not getting rid of boys when you had the chance, now that it seems the jury is favouring him over the decisions that you made? Do you feel like you used boys a shield during the game and now it's backfiring? Or do you think boys used you to get an extra vote on the TCs?

@boys Why did you choose the targets you did? Was it because you wanted to keep only the people who were involved in conflict like yourself? Aside from the Rotunda vote, I'm curious to know what other votes you feel you can take credit for. What happened with the WHTS vote?

Thanks for your answer. That round was a close call for you though. I assume WHTS and CBC voted for you that final six tribal then? What made you trust miguel or Auburn wouldn't flip to vote you out instead of WHTS? It was risky to throw your vote on CBC.

Thank you! And well, I don't regret it at all. In this case, I favored more the loyalty that we had towards each over how strong of a competitor he is, had I wanted to get rid of him I would have just voted for him in the last TC to make it 3-1, once again, I looked at all the possible outcomes and consequences since I basically had the deciding vote if I wanted to that round too because I knew both Auburn and miguel were voting for boys, if I voted for boys I would've ruined the great bond we had all season and potentially any chances of him voting for me in the jury, so I definitely chose the better path here. I always knew he was a very strong contender for this finale, but to me the loyalty we had was stronger, I know he's a hard target to beat but I mean, now that I'm making my strategy more clear and jury is seeing what really happened behind the scenes I hope they see that my game is up to par with the others' game too.

I don't think I used anyone as a shield? I don't see how that's possible nnnn, as I said already, I always made sure my name was never said every time a TC came so it was a constant work by myself of keeping my name clean with people who I wasn't very close to. And he also didn't use me to get an extra vote on TCs, when we voted together it was always teamwork, there was always something beneficial for both of us in every vote we did together, I never voted for someone I didn't want to vote for.

I don't think the Escapade thing will have any impact over the voting process, the issue was not between me and the other contestants, it was between the judges and the other contestants. I only stirred the pot because I thought it was funny.

As we all know, the top 5 TC was very stressful as we only had 20 minutes to figure it all out. I definitely consider it to be my only true big mistake in the game, but I will try to lay out my reasoning behind it here. miguel knew me and lucky had the idol halves and so he knew I would give the idol to him, since I had won immunity. We both decided that you were not our target, so that left me being able to steer him toward getting out boys by giving immunity to lucky. I already knew you had two votes against you, so it would be easy to convince you to vote out boys as well. Me and lucky were suspicious that miguel would use his idol on you instead of himself, because it was so obvious he had it that maybe he wouldn't get any votes. Of course, we all knew it was the last chance to use idols, so just in case boys had an idol too, I decided to throw a vote toward miguel. I planned that it would be a tie between you and boys, and the revote would obviously result in a 3-2 vote with boys leaving. At the last second, I think I made miguel suspicious by asking him about his idol or something, and so for some reason he voted for lucky and not boys (even though he KNEW we had the idol, I still don't get this). I realized this less than a minute too late and I wasn't allowed to change my vote to boys when I tried. And so that's how it panned out and I knew I had ****ed up. All of this happened so fast we really had no time to think clearly in those 20 minutes, but I just wanted to explain how I was trying to prepare for every situation possible to the best of my ability. After this TC I knew I would be probably the biggest target so I just focused really hard on winning the next 2 challenges to secure my spot in the finale.

It also doesn't make sense that you assume I had no control, while also claiming I had a target on my back for most of the game. If I didn't have at least some influence over other players, I would have never made it this far, especially considering I didn't win immunity post-merge until top 5. I spent a lot of time considering my actions each round. I spent a lot of time considering my votes, I wanted each vote to have a purpose, and not just throw random votes out there for the sake of it because I didn't know what to do. Just because my votes aligned with what other people wanted to do at times, doesn't mean they were pulling on my strings like a puppet. Teaming up with people who have similar objectives is a smart strategy for this game.

Congratulations, Boys!!!

You are ATRL's eleventh Sole Survivor! You were truly the central figure of this season from the moment everyone stopped on the beach! I have never seen someone so visible survive and survive and survive, and it was so impressive to watch you weave your way in and out of the dynamics of this cast. You should be so proud of all that you accomplished this season! What a journey from season 9 to the present.

Auburn and luckystrike - you guys both had very strong showings this season as well, and should also be quite proud of what you achieved. The two of you had different approaches and proved that you are both really great players as well. Each of you got jury votes tonight also, which is an awesome milestone to have. Thank you for playing!!

Thank you, everybody - we'll begin with the other stuff in the reunion shortly!
