Olivia Rodrigo - "deja vu"

I don’t think her losing a few hours of tracking is a big deal. Its first day streams will for sure be bigger than DL but it’ll probably grow throughout the week (of course, likely not to DL levels but still lol)

I get my license in somebody else's car
We order different blonde girls at the same bars
I know about what you did and I wanna drive from the truth
She thinks you love the cars, you're such a damn liar

Those great girls, they have big titts
Hope they bite you
Thought you said that you would always be in love
But you're not in love no more
Did it frighten you
How we kissed when we danced on the light up floor?
On the light up floor

But I hear voices in my head
Brand new voices in my head
But dear I'll be hearin' you 'ever I go
But dear I'll be hearin' you up every road
I'm waiting for it, that deja vu, I want it

I would say it's in similar vibe

oh, okay... I'd prefer the follow-up to be different but I guess they're sticking to what worked the first time...

What Lorde song does it closely resemble?

Hmm it's just the overall feel, it's mainly her vocal delivery

tbh the latter part of the song gives me Cruel Summer bridge vibes too :fan:

So much better than DL, even stronger Lorde vibes

When she's with you, do you get deja vu? :katie2:

This really bothers me, why does a “copycat” ends up being more successful than the original artist?

Apparently lots of radio stations execs/programmers already heard it last week

Olivia getting the Billie Thursday release treatment :rip:

Why Interscope does this to their new artists I’ll never know.

Thursday? So she has a significantly lower chance of #1? :skull: Interscope is typically smart but this logic makes no sense
